English as an International Language..
Post 1 of 23
English is spoken as first language in many countries around the world. There are three kinds of English speaker in the world.

There are those who speak it as their first language, or "mother tongue" as it is sometimes called, there are those who speak it as a second language: these are people who need English for one reason or another in their own country-perhaps as the language of government, or business or education. Finally, there are people who use English as a foreign language; they do not often need it in their own country, except under special situations, but they often need it when travelling abroad, or when they meet foreigners in their own country. These are people who speak English as a foreign language. Those who do not speak English as a mother tongue can to some extent choose which kind of English to speak. There are two kinds of English, American English and British English.

British English is spoken much more widely.

First there is the British English as spoken in the British Isles. In Africa, there are three kinds of Egnlish. English as Spoken in West Africa, in East Africa, and in English-speaking Southern Africa. There are two broad kinds of English as spoken in Asia, South Asia (including Pakistan, India and so on), and Southeast Asia (including Thailand, malaysia and Singapore.) English is also spoken in the continent of Australia. For example Australia, New Zealand.

There are a number of institutes in Pakistan, where people of every age learn English.. Usually in Pakistan people speak British English but now a days almost every institute is teaching American English..

English is a necessary subject to learn since the child goes to school. As we belong to the second kind of country.
