I am a sole proprietor, in to international logistics. I have my principals in  china. I represent them all over India. They have sent 2  import  consignments to  the port of Chennai.   I was told to collect $2504.00  from them.  After paying to  the  lcl  deconsolidaters ($1492)in  chennai, my comission of  $100.00 and $20 for bank charges  the balance amount ($892) with me has to be  refunded to  my principals in  china.   My Chartered Accountant has told me that I will have to  pay a  TDS of  11.33 %

For this transaction  Should I have to pay the TDS since India and China is having   DTAA treaty in place-   Your early reply will  be  appreciated since I want to remit the same by next week

While I am not an expert on Indian taxing system, I read about TDS (Tax Deducted at Source). I think your accountant is right, since this transaction is considerer payment to foreign persons, which is TDS subject. (Maybe I am not right but as far as I understant this is the case).

why not try to remit by T/T or Payple ?T/T is the most popular method,and the payple payment is very famous too recently.these two ways are all very easy way to remit payment to any people all over the world,sir.
