dhgate.com is a third party providing service to help buyers to buy from china sellers. dhgate gets transaction fees. they are not suppliers of products, they are service company. they work as third party to help and protect buyers and sellers

Replying to [newdog]: Hi, this website is like ebay, remember when purchasing to view the profile of the seller and their comments, never chose a seller which has less than 10 comments, even though they may have all these added features and at least 5 comments, they could still be fraudulent or dodgy or could even be selling you fake or false items. Dhgate is much better than ebay cause its for trade people, but it just pays to research the seller before you press the pay button. They accept escrow which of cause is great but some sellers may use fake escrow services, so make sure you get the real deal. Even though you may get a secure payment option, that doesn’t verify the quality of the product.

you can try to search on google with keyword Sellerkey, you will get a lot of links, some will remind they are scammers.

I have tried DHgate and found out that their Escrow service does not work. When a supplier, shanghai2010, sent the wrong item, I submitted a dispute to DHgate. All they did, after several weeks, was to pay the supplier anyway. I supplied them with pictures of the parcel, as opened, showing the wrong item, but they did not help me at all.
It is extremely difficult to communicate with them. They do not answer questions or emails, unless you send them to the public relations person at prc@dhgate.com.
So unless they dramatically improve their service to buyers, I would recommend that you do not have anything to do with them.

So, in my opinion, you can chose some professional online shopping company from china, such as: www.chinvison.com, www.cool-sale.com .....
Because they know how to doing online shopping busines, and they are true company offer online service, and muck skilled both at quality and other factors

A lot of people have asked if DHGate is a scam, or real. Sites have examined DHGate before, some internet pages on peoples websites dedicated to tell everyone that "DHGate is a scam, dont order there". And others, private persons, say thats its reliable.
Why this confusion? The simple answer is DHGate is just a platform, like ebay. Their system is escrow-based which is generally safe - BUT, some sellers there are definitely not "safe". They sell bad quality products.
Check out a new blog I made dedicated to asserting which sellers are safe on DHGate, and how it works and is in general: http://dhgate-reality.blogspot.com/
In this first time, I will post things about the general structure of the site, but later, I will start posting information about sellers I have verified to be reliable, and I will keep doing that continously after. Thus, a source for people that want to do business, and want to know if its safe to invest a few thousand dollars in a given seller.
