Why is it so frustrating trying to deal with chinese suppliers?

Everyone of them acts like they are going to get rich on the first order and don't seem to understand the concepts of creating a relationship that is a win-win and starting with lower quantities until trust, service level and quality have been proven.

It seem also that all of them speak some english but none speak good english and the level of english speaking ability or desire changes on a daily basis with the same person.

The common thread seems to be they want money but don't want to create a win-win relationship.

Can anyone provide me with some perspective from the trenches that maybe I'm just not getting my mind wrapped around?

thanks egernia / aussie.

some cases sales person works on commision but they will blame to company management for problems

some cases employer is safe in keeping such sales people to be blamed for

now is the time for employee to know the character of boss & situation of factory before joining the factory & same way for employer to give power to thier employee to give them power for decision & training about products too not just depend on language.

Chinese factory always want to make long-term cooperation with clients from oversea. You  have questioned with Chinese factory's quality, service level, and other thing.Firstly ,I want to say is that every country in this globle must have this kind of things.Everything country has two sides. We respect every clients to our factory, and ofcause we would like give u high quality and good after-sale service. As my experence, many clients from oversea come to China buy something they needed ,they won't choose the one with good quality, but with lower price. The first thing they need is low price. As we know ,there is really less products ,have good quality and low price. If u want to have good quality, good service and other things else,u have to pay it .

There are so many people in China,so does the factorys. If some of them with low quality and not good service level,it's normal.Don't enlarge our disadvantage with magnifier and narrow our advantage with microscope, please.

I have placed and received deals from 3 different businesses from Alibaba trust pass businesses and am extremely frustrated.

1st business................. manufactured and shipped nice products or so I thought.....turns out he was just a middleman and doubled the price of the product to me for doing almost no work other than transfering the money from his account and paying the manufacturer.  He had agreed not to compete against me but is now directly competing against me by offer the same products direct to US customers on eBay where I also sell but at a much much lower price.

2nd business............. made decals that were suppose to be made with UV ink and have a UV over coating to protect them since they are used out doors. When received the decals looked great. I put one on my own truck and after 3 weeks it was fading bad....after 4 weeks it was no longer visible. I contacted the company and sent them pictures and they inspected samples that they still had of my decal and agreed it was not manufactured as they said they would and stated they would manufacture and ship replacements.

I waited 1.5 months and asked for tracking info as I had not received them yet....no response. Over the next 2 months I emailed many times and get either a response back that the decals are still being manufactured or they were on the way but never giving tracking numbers.....or they just do not respond back.

I am now thinking that this business is nothing more than a middleman and that is why he is not honoring his commitments.

I have another decal that I would like manufactured and sent an email and when wanting new order they responded right back. They now claim the replacement order was lost. I do not trust the company since they have been so deceitful.

3rd business.......... I think I went straight to the manufacturer but who knows at this point.......made good product but sent completely wrong color that I stated I did not want. They said it was their fault and they would honor and make replacements. There was also a problem with DHL delivering late that they were to file paperwork for the refund. They never did and time for getting the refund has expired.

Are there any trustworthy honorable businesses in China that do what they say they are going to do?????

Should I just accept what they have dishonorably deceived me and keep dealing with them???

For people reacted so ugly, as i observed be aware of generalizing culture and people of china for some few company or people had bad experience for buyers whereas there's a large number of trusted sellers for china that primarily affected in this discussion for a little miscommunication of your transactions they do also have a protocol of CONFIRMING before process how come that happens, maybe some agreement don't have guidelines of what both parties agreed?
