Variables b/w YOU & HOST Country
Post 1 of 5
Here are the some of the all variables that can be involved in your business communication with your host countries. These all are applicable on verbal and non verbal communications. When talking to foreigners, following checklist would be much useful:- 1. Perception of time:- a. Is the concept of time considered linear or circular? b. what impact will time have upon business decisions? c. Is time considered valuable or in an intangible asset? 2. Perception of space--------What is the average acceptable personal space between natives of the host country? 3. Perception of food:- a. Are you aware of the eating habits of your host? b. Are there table conventions you should be aware of? c. Are there foods you might find disagreeable? 4. Perception of dress:- a. How much skin may be exposed in both an informal and in a formal situation? b. Are certain colors distributing? c. Will western attire be accepted? 5. Perception of manners:- a. What is the protocol regarding the introduction of persons in a business situation? b. What are the "rules" of gift giving? 6. Perception of decision making:- a. Is the pattern of making decisions consistent from one company to another? b. Is placement of the major decision maker consistent in a meeting situation? c. Is an inductive pattern of decision making preferred? Wishing you all the best![em19]

For starters......... Stop posting like a maniac in all the forums.

You are making tons of silly posts and are starting to annoy the moderators. If you want to gain MVP's EARN them by getting into discussions rather than posting simple statements.

You also posted a bunch of articles which are NOT your work. They are direct copies of other peoples work... This is called PLAGERISM. and is not allowed in the forums. or under international law.
So stop spamming the * out of the forums please... Contribute but stop posting garbage just for points!!!!!!!!!!!!! You have managed to get yourself on the watch list for a number of moderators with itchy trigger fingers.

Thanx for comment!

You are right a bit, not at all. Most of my work is my own research and i can defend it, im not only a keyboard puncher, i've my litrature base and field exposure also. I accept, some of my work is gathered from other sources but i'ld like to inform your goodself what i am doing here is to facilitate my fellows with relevent informations. If my way is going to Pilligrism, its never good i must stop it and only explore my own words.

Thanx
