How to tell a inquiry between true and fake?

Until now ,i have gotten many inquiries .  I replied  them carefully and hopefully  with all details and all informatioin,eg price ,size ,payments ,quantity for 40HQ and so on . Hope  it wil works out .But after i do these,no reply . Only one part of them say : i will check it and if  i need  i will contact you .

Do they think sending inquiries is funny ??  They dont care our  effets .

My suggestion is sustaining ur this kind work. slowly and slowly, the real customer wil discover ur sincerity, and work with u.

Really thats the job of any sales rep, to keep quoting prices no matter who it is.

However, if you really want to see how serious someone is ask them what their target price is for your product.  If they reply at a price below what you can do then, you simply reply that the price is insufficient.  Real buyers are aware of what they have to pay for the products they seek.  They may not know how much it cost's to ship the product to them, but they should already have a price in mind reflective of their profit margin.  Otherwise you simply have a buyer that has no business sense.

I met the same suitation like you. Every morning rush to make quotations for those inquiry and find it is in vain at most time. Few of those clients would give some reponse. But I am still keep reply the inquiry everyday and will judge who is the one has keen intension to do business first. Because most them just want to get information from you. But business also communication. so I think even those guys who will noe serious buyers should also reply them the information they need, because it is also a chance open business. [em1]

Many inquiries do not means genuine inquiries.  As sellers, do not get excited when you received many inquiries.  Some of the inquiries are faked ones or those competitors jest to know your prices.  As sellers, do your homework prior answering and quoting the incoming inquiries.  Do not waste your precious time, effort and money.  Google and DueDiligence the buying companies.  If you found suspicious , ignore them.  You would not feel frustrated, right.  Gather your experiences , my dear.

The suitation is the same as i often run into . I am a forwarder.

So do I, since we become the glod supplier in Aliaba,I have received quite a lot of enquiry,and some customers even ask for the price of all our products,however,there is no one place order.But I am still replying every enquiry patiaently and carefully,I hope some day the order will come to me.[em3]

There is no real or fake for asking quotation, because your client wll compare few same product factory, but they didn't know your factory quanlity/price/lead time, who is the best,

or they are selling to another person. so they need more detail and disucss with there client too. the best way you need to know your product, why is better then another factory how to use your product and how to suggest to your client, if you have more detail and know what they need, you are more easy to sell it....sometime NOT JUST A PRICE. Product quanltiy and your service will be WIN.

Someone searching for products X may find 3 suppliers of that particular product here, or 30+ suppliers. After a first glance at several suppliers, he may send inquiries to 8 or 10 of those 30+ suppliers.



Some would not reply directly, but wait for replies from those companies he had sent inquiries to. He can then compare the details from different suppliers, some products may be higher end than what he is looking for, or some may be lower end, he may prefer the design of some product to the other, etc. There are many factors to consider.



Then he might reply to two companies that he believes are good choices. Yet, the inquiries to the other companies are not fake, per se.



What you should do is streamline your responses so you do a minimal amount of work / response. Sending out your responses and quotes will not seem so tedious then. Do a nice standard responce that you quickly can change the name on, and that is easy to ad information to, so you make sure to include a responce to any questions the inquiring person may have. Like;

Text, text, text...


And as for your question about our xxxxx I am happy to inform you that...
