How to tell a inquiry between true and fake?

Until now ,i have gotten many inquiries .  I replied  them carefully and hopefully  with all details and all informatioin,eg price ,size ,payments ,quantity for 40HQ and so on . Hope  it wil works out .But after i do these,no reply . Only one part of them say : i will check it and if  i need  i will contact you .

Do they think sending inquiries is funny ??  They dont care our  effets .

Someone searching for products X may find 3 suppliers of that particular product here, or 30+ suppliers. After a first glance at several suppliers, he may send inquiries to 8 or 10 of those 30+ suppliers.




Some would not reply directly, but wait for replies from those companies he had sent inquiries to. He can then compare the details from different suppliers, some products may be higher end than what he is looking for, or some may be lower end, he may prefer the design of some product to the other, etc. There are many factors to consider.




Then he might reply to two companies that he believes are good choices. Yet, the inquiries to the other companies are not fake, per se.




What you should do is streamline your responses so you do a minimal amount of work / response. Sending out your responses and quotes will not seem so tedious then. Do a nice standard responce that you quickly can change the name on, and that is easy to ad information to, so you make sure to include a responce to any questions the inquiring person may have. Like;

Text, text, text...



And as for your question about our xxxxx I am happy to inform you that...

Nowadays too many suppliers in alibaba, when you press example phone lcd you can see no lesser than 100 suppliers. Do maybe out of 1000 email which you reply u will get just 10-20 orders and many of them are just sample orders of a few items.  The more customer alibaba get the harder our business gets.

We as a buyer, there were no win or lose situation, as for the supplier, they should be more understanding. That the buyer will be in contact with you, when we(Buyer) meet the requirement, the spec and the quality that we're looking for, we will contact the supplier and do business.


There no true or fake from buyer if asking for a quote, the the fake or true is lie when doing the transaction.


My advice to you, is to be patience in doing business, surely they will contact you if you meet the buyer requirement.

Answering enquiries, is part of the selling process and in several times you got nothing for your effort.  Its important to understand what is happening on the other side. for example, a huge evaluation ,comparing  several suppliers its not easy.Sometimes,things are not clear enough for buyers and not answering ,is also a way to tell the supplier that they are not interested in the offer but certainly in  someone else`s [em15] so patience and keep improving

I think most sales are doing the same job now. All we can do is reply the inquiry and wait for the response.

Just do our job well and look forward to the orders.

yes i agree with you azri jumaat...asking..inquiries are initial process...before the customers really make choices on which items they want to order...just like you want to buy hp hones and in the middle of deciding which model suits your preference..style....pricing..specs...etc.....so you would be going hunting for models..specs..pricing (promotions available)...after sales service etc.In case of ordering products frm suppliers...they are many other matters like..how money is exchanged....on whether the product is really the ones that you asked for (fit the spec...the quality...etc as promised)....and the products reach the buyers...this is what you call....getting the best items...that fits your budget...and good smooth transactions...so customers will try to get suppliers that are reliable..and will return to those suppliers..so look it like this..a return customer..satisfied with yr product and service marks one of suppliers success in the supplying bussines....

Or you may try some form(web form) that can calculates automaticaly, so you no need to make inquiries everytime. buyers know your product fit their pocket or not from that form. so if they think's they can get a profit from your product's . they will buy it.


Yes.. this is also a good point in attracting your potential customer...a web form with fixed price....and every info about the spec...the min order...postage fee.....etc that is needed. no hidden charges..unless the customer still need to ask further....then he/she can contact you further..if they want to negotiate more on the prices..etc
