..... this depends ..... from my experience since year 2000, I only use TT to order goods

from this similar dealer - a reliable, honest, speedy and considerate cyber trader ;

I re-order every month, and never worry about scam or being cheated.

Heidi, your company doesn't happen to sell mobile phones do they? I am looking for a reliable company. I have lost so much money, I am afraid to use Alibaba any more.

Thank you,

Barbara Swisher

Hello,

I need some help to advice, what should to do, please help!!!

I have found by alibaba a seller, whose is based in UK and I am still checking, whether the phone, fax-no and address is right or not. Anyway, he prefered, that the shipping/payment will be made using by "aplus-transport.com". Does anyone know this kind of shipping/payment transaction? Is it 100 % safe?

Here comes how we are going to do :

1. Seller will ship the products with : aplus-transport.com.

2. They will contact me and let me know that I sent you the products and the

status of the products .

3.I will transfer the money to aplus-transport.com.

4.I will receive the products and check them , test them etc.

5. I have 5 days to inspect the goods. I must confirm to aplus-transport.com

that the products are as I expected to be so seller can receive my money from them.

If I am not satisfied of the products he sent , they will come , pick up the

products and give all my money back. Seller will have to pay again the shipping

taxes to receive the products back .

Do anybody know and had good experience with aplus-transport.com? Is this way better than escrow??

Thanks for your help in advanced.

Helen

I just checked out that website: aplus-transport.com

This is most likely a scam. The clues are:

1) Lots of spelling mistakes. This company says they started in the UK but they can't spell English correctly. Very suspicious.

2) aplus-transport.com was only registered last month! But on their website they say they've been operating since 1998

hi people, that sounds like a scam [sgmo666]. be careful ,   i would contact  scambaiter.com and get them to have some fun and payback with the mongrels. regarding t/t"s and l/c"s the advice is good but i dont know about some of Damir"s  remarks.   just because someone hasn"t traded ,imported or exported doesn"t  mean they shouldn"t.   everyone has to start somewhere. this is what sites like alibaba have done.and more so ebay, its opened up business to everyone and not just the privileged few.   true capitilism     just do your reseach and bona fide checks first.    follow the good advice given above and use common sense.

good luck to everyone  (except the filthy scammers)

About United Kindom: Sellers who want payments thru Western Union - all scamers. And wach out who you send a T/T, about 85% conpanies from UK all scamers too (you send T/T, and nothing after, your money - gone, company - dont exist or recently went out of business). Nigeria, UK and Indonesia are worst contries about a fraud. In my opinion, its cheaper to stay out of dealing with sellers from these contries. In 2004-2005 United Kindom is contry with fastest growing fraud and crime.

And never use escrow websites (exept www.escrow.com) they all scamers too. Even if you use www.escrow.com, sometimes UK scamers send email that looks-like from escrow company and ask to send wire or Wes.Union to some person - it scam too.

My advise: STAY EVEY FROM UNITED KINDOM!!!!

To peoples from UK: I personaly I like UK, it very nice contry, I just dont like how you peoples do business, and your goverment dont care about the crime and fraud in your contry.

Complete escrow SCAM! Ask seller if he want to use www.escrow.com, if he dont - seller scamer too.

We are a trading company ,so I can tell you another reasone why we like use T/T.  L/C bases on the credibility of the  bank. many banks in different countries  don't ensure the seller can take back their money . because they will close for war and goverment policy at any time. sometimes the two countries are very near, you see  L/C will cost long time.  When the ship arrive in the destination port, the L/C haven't reached the  exporting company.  So the buyer take the goods and refuse to negotiation.

I agree to Terry's opinions.

L/C is the best secure way and the allocation of of the risk is evenly shared , but it takes the sell to spent more money .

And another more , if the order is only a 20'container or even less, the seller is not glad to use the L/C terms .Unless the buyer agree to pay the deduction from the bank .

My company exports the billiard tables, usually the both of terms, that is T/T OR L/C , is OK !

But if the order qunantity is small, the T/T is of course preferable !

Before developing Fullprof trust one should not use T/T payment. But for very small quantity offen T/T payment is prefered.
