Why cannot all the countries use Israel technology in agriculture?
Post 1 of 6
We heard Israel has only one river, which is used for drinking water as well as for irrigation: They use modern drip system, save the water, use the water economically and produce many agricultural products:

Why cannot other nations follow the same and save water nd produce more food products???

I think they keep the technology always updated due to permanent investigations and experiments, and that's why it is expensive for most of the countries, specially for those developing or underdeveloped ones. For example, drip-irrigation system is still expensive for most farmers although it is copied and duplicated by the local producers in some countries.

Replying to [curdrice]: Curdice they may have one river but they have been using de-salination plants for over 30 years and last year brought on line one of the biggest in the world utilizing (RO) technology.

Dear Curdrice,

As we are businessmen ourselves, you should know the answer already, right? Just like why US cannot use Brazil's Ethanol, many factors will answer your questions.

1. Supply and Demand.
2. Cost
3. Necessity
4. Competitions
5. Technology
6. etcetc.....

If you want to have a specific answer, then, I do not think anybody can give you an exact answer except those who had experienced in Isreal agriculture. Maybe Kivi (our alibaba rabi) can tell you! hehehe......

Some of the countries who would get the most benefit prefer to be enemies.
