I've read thru your article above. Thanks
Question (sorry for my ignorance) - when someone says they can suppply HMS1 or HMS2, and Used Rails....what is the difference between HMS1 and Used Rails ?? Are they the same ?
Thanks in advance.
Dear Mugs,
difference between HMS1 and HMS2 is quality and size of scrap (read ISRI specifications in one of my previous post here ).
HMS 1 - ISRI CODE 201: HEAVY MELTING STEEL 3 FEET X 18 INCHES. WROUGHT IRON OR STEEL SCRAP ¼
INCH OVER IN THICKNESS INDIVIDUAL PIECES NOT OVER 36 INCHES X 18 INCHES (CHARGING BOX SIZE)
PREPARED IN A MANNER TO INSURE COMPACT CHARGING.
HMS 1 - ISRI CODE 202: HEAVY MELTING STEEL 5 FEET X 18 INCHES. WROUGHT IRON OR STEEL SCRAP ¼
INCH AND OVER IN THICKNESS INDIVIDUAL PIECES NOT OVER 60 INCHES X 18 INCHES (CHARGING BOX SIZE)
PREPARED IN A MANNER TO INSURE COMPACT CHARGING.
Sometime can find some Used Rails in scrap HMS 1,but in small quantities.Used Rails contain a superior quality of steel and the price is higher .
