I placed an order for a hot holiday toy.

I was first told the minimum order was 200 and a certain price.

I told them I found them somewhere else, cheaper and they were willing to match the price.

Up to this point, nothing out of the ordinary.

I made a payment by Moneygram (Which I almost never use)

But here is the problem.

The person I've been communicating with said he was going to sell me the 200 but his director told him that the minimum order is 500, not 200.

So now to complete the payment I have to come up with more money.

I was offered a deal of paying 75% of the additional and then the rest after shipment since I have buyers waiting.

Don't know what to do. I'm 3200 in and have to pay another 4800 which was not expected and I don't want to end up without all that money.

They did call me to check and see if everything was okay before the first payment.

By hot holiday toy are you referring to something with a brand name on it or perhaps something that you have seen advertised in your country? If so then you are more than likely being scammed here.

Product that is being promoted in your country is owned by someone, and that is highly likely not the seller that is offering to sell to you.

You cannot buy someone elses product and then resell that as that is illegal in most countries of the world. If their product is good and you want to make money off of selling their product then you need to make a deal with them to buy and resell their product.

The fact that the seller has raised the order size is another common scam technique.

I would say that you have been scammed here and that you should not send any more money to this seller. If I am correct then this is a scammer not a seller that you are dealing with which means that any money you have already paid has been lost.

What did you do to verify the seller before you sent them money?

Oh dear! Why must you made your payment USD3200 to the supplier by Moneygram? Only small amount i.e. USD100 - 200 is acceptable via this payment mode. Still you have to be cautious. Nevertheless, any payments to any suppliers, you should bank-in into the company's name NOT under individual name. You can also verify whether the company's  is legit from their bank.

Since you have already paid this high amount of money via Moneygram, scammers/fraudsters knew you can be scam by them again and again. About MOQ, the subject issue is just an excuse by these scammers to you.

Next time, Due Diligence NOT "GQ"!!!!!!!

You should ask for PI(Proforma Invoice) before sending the money.I don't know you are doing business, but chineese are scam free. I did a lot of business in China without any problem. Maybe it is a miscommunication from the beginning between you and the sales rep.
