These days I have met so many buyers who said they got scamed in alibaba.Most of them bought the original branded laptop,mobile phone,camera,game console,LCD TV,GPS,MP3/4,etc.And most them are the private person,the people who dreamed that they can do drop ship business in the original branded products.They will be rich.When they find out the prices are so low.They are very excited,just like just found out a new land.Or they just wanna have a try.I fthey can get the original products with very low price.Some people know it might be a scam.But they still wanna have a risk.Finally they got scammed.Because they are lack of the experience of buying something from internet.And I met someone who got scammed twice,someone even got scammed 3 times.
So I wanna give the buyers who want to buy the original branded products some suggestions.
First I wanna tell you there is NO RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP original branded products at all in alibaba.But why there are so many buyers got ripped off.Just because they think the products from China are so cheap.Maybe they think there are so many products which are "Made in China" around them.And China is a World Factory.Another aspact,they might have met several fraud companies.They all quote the buyers very low price.That's why they think the products from China are so cheap.So they would get ripped off easily.Just think about it.If you can get a so weird cheap original branded product.,just like a original iPhone 3G 8GB is 200 USD.Then everybody in the world would like to buy it in alibaba.Then the iPhone agent can't do anything business.The branded company won't sell the branded products in bulk on the internet.They have regular distribution channel.Their distribution is generally like this:Factory--General agent--Agent--Customer.They don't have to warry about the distribution channel,so they don't have to sell them on internet in bulk.
The gold and trustpass suppliers which sell low price original branded products in alibaba must be scamers.For example,they offer Dell,Sony,HP,Apple,laptop,etc.And iPhone,Nokia,Sumsung cellphone,etc.They never send you what you have ordered.They might send you one pair of shoes or one pcs of T-shirt.JUST BE CAREFUL!!!
The frauds usually use the following ways to scam you.
1.Ridiculous,weird and low price to attract you.Such as they sell Dell XPS M1730 by $400,even $300.Some frauds will tell you the 1/2,1/4 or 3/4 of the real price to attract you.If you ask them why it's so cheap.They will tell you their products are contraband(gray import).They don’t have to pay the tax.Or They claim they got the goods from factory directly.That's why they are so cheap.Then some buyers will easily get trapped.Don't believe it.That's bullsh it.
2.They claim that they are the gold and trustpass supplier in alibaba.Yes,they are the gold and trustpass suppliers.But they can easliy get the so-called "gold and trustpass" supplier authentication.
3.They usually use female names and the beautiful photoes to attract the buyer.And always use a photo of sexy girl as their TradeManager icon,MSN and Yahoo Messenger even they are males.
4.They just accept Western Union ,Moneygram,T/T for payment way.That is too say,they just get the money first.After they get the money,they won't speak to you anymore. Some scammers tell you they accept Paypal, (for paypal, There are two ways for sending payment by it. One is send the payment directly, another one is pay it as Escrow payment way.) They tell you that they accept paypal, but not for the first time. They will tell you first order need Western Union ,Moneygram or TT. Next order can be paid by Paypal. So they just want your money of your first order. Or they claim that they accept Paypal, But when you really want to deal with them, they won't speak to you. Same as L/C, by L/C, only big order can use L/C. The will say: We accept L/C,but only big order, if you order some sample, you need pay it by Western Union ,Moneygram or TT. They are very "smart", First tell you they accept Escrow payment way (Paypal or L/C) to get your trust. Make you think they are honest. But finally they don’t accept them at all.
5.Some fraudulent companies sell the copy products as original products.Mostly they sell copy mobile phone,handbag,shoes,garments.They can't sell copy laptop and camera.Because to produce laptop and camera is needing high technology.So some companies claim that they have copy branded laptop.They must be a fraudulent company.The don't have it at all.
6.If you have ordered some original branded products.They will try any way to delay the time to do the shipping.Because they don't have any original product.
1,They will tell you your package is kept in the Custom.
2,Or the delivery company lost the package.
3,Or they just give you the fake tracking number. Or give you a tracking number for others, not for you.
4,Or they will give you a Tracking number, but you can't track it at all, after that they will give tell you: oh, the package was sent back,we will send it again, then give you another tracking number to continue to fool you.
5,Or they change the shipping way, If you requested them use DHL, or UPS, etc. They will send you the package by China Post Air Mail or Hongkong Post Air Mail. By the way, if you don't know what's China Post Air Mail. If the scammer send you this link: http://intmail.183.com.cn/ or http://www.emsairmailtracking.com/ .Then it's for China Post Air Mail. For China Post Air Mail or Hongkong Post Air Mail,it's very slow,the most slowest delivery shipping way.Even much slower than EMS . And it only can be sent 2kg at most in one parcel for China Post Air Mail or Hongkong Post Air Mail. You know why they chose Post Air Mail or Hongkong Post Air Mail?Because they try to delay the time,delay it very long,that usually take 14-20days,to some countries even about 1 month.So it takes so long that they can cheat more people as possible as they can.Because if they send DHL,or Fedex.the buyer will get the goods quickly,then after they find out the goods are not what they ordered.they will report them to alibaba.then the Company will get removed by alibaba.So the fraudulent companies always choose China Post Air Mail or Hongkong Post Air Mail. The buyer just wait for day by day,and day by day,but finally got a crap. They will send you the thing which is much less value than what your ordered. Such as one pair of shoes, or a handbag.
6,Or they will tell you your package is kept in the Custom,you need to pay more moeny for the tax.(why not they tell you there is tax to the Custom before you dealed with them).
If you get those kinda news.Then you will know you have got ripped off. As I know.The fraud company will be removed out from alibaba after they get 1-3 report letters in alibaba.That's why they will try any way to find the excuses not to send you the package.
7.They usually don't live where the address in the company's website.They usually live in another city.If you are in China and want their address.Don't go there.It's not exist.Even if it's exist.They are not there. I met many people who went to the address the scammers told them. But they never found them. And I have met many people want to go and visit their office. But I suggest you before you go there, just make sure it's a legal company. The tickets is so expensive. If you can’t find them. You will spend so much money and time.
8.There are many free memebers are a frauds.The frauds who are free members are from Europe,Japan,Indonesia,USA,etc.Especially .
The 11 methods to verify if a company.
1,The fraudulent companies always list so many brand products on their websit in aliaba.
They sell everything for the consumer electronics. If you ask them any model. They will say "YES". How can a real company can supply everything.
Some people always ask me why it's fraudulent, how do you know it’s fraudulent. I know from what they are selling, they can't sell many kinds of brand new products. They are not the agent. If even they are agent of the brand products, they are not allowed to export. Plus how could they be the agent of so many bran products?

The company will show them.Then some buyers will believe it.But the fraud company just got them on the internet.So Just BE CAREFUL.
3.You can pretend to be in China.Or you can pretend to have a Chinese friend in China.Tell them you or your Chinese friend will visit their company.If they don't speak to you anymore.It must be a frand company.Because they are afraid of Chinese people.Chinese people can easily call the police.But some frauds know you just want to investigate them.They know you are not in China.And they will tell you:Welcome to our company.Then tell you address where you can't find them.
4.You can sign up a TradeManager ID from another country with another name.(You might think you can't sign up a trademanager ID from another country.But you can.Just try it.)Then just use your two IDs to ask them one product.Such as original iPhone 3G 8GB.If they sell it to your first IDat $200.Then after one or two days to ask them if they will sell it to you at $100 with your another ID.(But don't ask them with your another ID right away.Because they might find out you arethe same person.)If they will give you at $100.They must be a big scammer.As long as they can get the money.They can give you at $50 or $30 or even $1.
5.You can ask them show you the office,products even the staffs by webcam. If they are honest,they will do it. If they are scammers, they are afraid to do it. When you ask them do it, some scammers will tell you: this is in the office, we can't be allowed to use wecam. It’s the excuse. I think if it’s a legal company. They are allowed to use it.
6.If they work at night.They might be a fraud.You should know your time is different from China.A company usually has several Trademanager IDs.You can try to see them all.If they all on line in the night.And they sell international original branded products.They are absolutely frauds.
7.Most of the fraud companies is "1st year" in alibaba.You can see it on the left up side in their company's website in alibaba.
It's first year, it's not that it has been one year in alibaba. When it just is being the gold supplier, it shows "1st Year".
If ther 1st year is not ok, Can you deal with a company which has several years in alibaba?
A company which has several years in alibaba doesn't mean it's 100% safe.For example,a company has been in alibaba for 2 years,and they have been doing the legal business.But suddenly they don't want to cooperate with alibaba any more,they will start to list the brand products,and tell the buyers low price to attract them. Then after they manage to scam people,they just take the money away. They don't care about anything, because don't want to cooperate with alibaba anymore, they just care about money.
8.Try to ask every staff in the company for one product.If it is a fraud company you might get many different prices. And the price is a big difference.
9.Go to google to search for the company's name and see if there is any band comments or if there some one said it's scam.Also you can go to community in alibaba to search for it.
If you go and search for it. But can’t find anything. Then you think it's ok to deal with it.Then you might be the first victim.
10.Ask them give you the information of their clients in your country or other countries. If they give it to you, try to ask the person's experience which he or she dealed with the company. If their products are so cheap, they must have lot's of clients all over the world. If they can't give you or just give you fake information. They must be frauds.
11,Check the company's contacts. If you find the Province is Fujian . If the company sell consumer electronics. They 99.999999999% are scammers.
If you still don't believe what I said.You can use above ways to test some companies what I listed in the following posts.And there are many frauds not justin alibaba,but also in Tradekey and Made-in-China,etc B2B website.After the fraudulent companies get removed in B2B website.They will just spend $2900(in alibaba)to open another fraudulent company to continue to scam peple.From December 1st 2008 to May 31st 2010.I have updated 545 fraudulent companies.Some of them were removed.Some of them are still cheating people in alibaba.Let's figure it out:If one fraudulent company cheat US$30,000.then From December 1st 2008 to May 31st 2010,the fraudulent companies can cheat US$16,350,000.In RMB,It's 111,180,000.It's a huge number.Huh?Plus,there are many fruadulent companies I haven't added.

You can't get cheap original products in alibaba from China.Never think the products are made in China,and think it's cheap.Never! You can't get the 1/4,1/2or 3/5 of reasonable price(market price in your country) from China,you may get the 3/4 of reasonable price,but after you adding the freight,it almost the same price or even more expensive than in your country.
3,Does alibaba take responsibility?Can I get my money back?
Alibaba doesn't take much resposibility,when you email it or call it,it will say:We alibaba can't contral the deals,we are just a platform for the supplier and buyers.We don't take Legal Responsibility.There is a third party to veiry the companies.The only way that you can do is call the police in your country or call the police station where the fraudulent compamy located.But most the police man don't speak English,when you call them,It would be hard,plus,you are not in China.(How could they say so).Alibaba just know money.Alibaba is very "smart",when a company cooperate with alibaba,then pay alibaba.Then the faudulent companies scam people,after it got any report,alibaba will removed that company.Then just get rid of responsibility.But it's easy for registering a company.After the fraudulent company get removed.It will open another company to cooperat with alibaba to continue to scam people.Again and Again.If even you call the police station,If you just lost $3000,or $2000,or $300,it's just a small case.They won't care.
4-6 questions is next floor.
The reason is:the brand company has their distribution. The don't worry about their selling.They don't have to sell the products in B2B website.Because they are famous brand.the general agant are not allowed to export them. the distribution is like this:for example:Apple iPhone. "Apple" is a international company. they have OEM factory in China. It's named Fushikang.When the OEM factory produce the products,it will give the product back to Apple company.then Apple company sell iPhone all over the world.And there are national agent,region agent or province agent. they have their own distribution. the authorized agent can't export the iPhone. it's business rule. Some peopel dreamed that they can buy iPhone from the factory directly.No way!iPhone haven't been in China market officially until in October 2009,But it's very expensive as all over the world.And there are many grey iPhone from US and HongKong.It's very expensive,too.So Apple company is just like Sony,Dell,HP,Acer,Asus,Toshiba,Sumsung,Microsoft,Nintendo,Nokia,HTC,LG,Canon and Nikon,etc brand companies.So if you are not the agent of the brand company,and if you don't have the distribution of the brand products,you can't deal in them.
5,Can I deal with a company which has several years in alibaba?

Alibaba just know money,if you gave it money,everthing is OK."Gold supplier" or "Pineer" doesn't mean anything.trustpass and verified doesn't mean anything.Some buy think "Gold supplier" or "Pineer" is safe.But alibaba misleaded you.

Some fraudulent companies has a websites in alibaba or other B2B website.Then they can get the inquiry from the buyers,then they can get the contacts from the inquiries,Such as email address,MSN,Yahoo messenger,phone number,etc.Then will use their MSN or Yahoo Messenger ID which is not something to do with their Trademanager in alibaba to scam buyers.Then after they manage to scam.They don't have to worry about the buyer would report them in alibaba.The don't have to worry that they are gonna remove by alibaba.So when some strange MSN or Yahoo Messenger ID try to add you.Just ask them what's there websit in alibaba.Pay more attention to it.I have met so many people who got scammed by this way.After they got scamme,they don't even know its website,company's background,etc.
8,If I can't buy the new original brand products,can buy the used brand products?
Yes,you can,but not for the lastest models.Just for very old models,Such as IBM T43,Dell D600,etc.I have met so many buyers who tried to buy the latest models of used laptop got scammed.Such as Delll XPS M1730,some fraudulent companies just sell it at $200 even $100,you think that is possible?The answer is "NO".
9,What can I buy from China if I can't buy the brand products?
You should learn China,learn what it can produce,what it can't produce.In China,for electronics,It can produce mobile phone,there is a biggest mobile phone market in the world in Shenzhen city.There are Dual sim card,Dual standby mobile phone,TV mobile phone,WIFI mobile phone,Smart mobile phone with GPS and WIFI mobile phone,etc.It can produce OEM Netbook.Such as 10.2 inch,12.1 inch ones.It can produce LCD TV and LCD Monitor.It also can produce USB flash drives,MP3/4.But be careful of the USB flash drives.Some fraudulent companies claims that they have 32GB,64GB,even 128GB.That's not true.They are just fake ones,and upgrated ones.When you put the USB flash drives into the computer,it shows there are 32GB or 64 GB capacity.But you can't put 32GB or 64GB things into it.Maybe just 8GB or 4GB,or even less.As so far,the factory which produce USB flash have not ability to produce 32GB or 64GB,etc.
