Want to be the paid member of alibaba, how do you think about it now? The sales person tells me that now we could only to pay less than RMB20,000 to be alibaba's Gold supplier member.
There are so many products on alibaba, it looks complicated to me. Any suggestions are welcomed.

That's about $300USD ... last week it was around $5,000USD for Gold membership.
I knew things were starting to get cheap in China as companys scramble for cash ... but that one takes the cake (if it's true - which I doubt).
If that is true then perhaps the scammers have affected the reputation of this site more than any of us expected!!!!
I doubt that it is true though. Perhaps they were referring to payment plans of RMB2,000 per month or something, but even then that is a total fee a lot less than what has always been charged.
It would be interesting to get confirmation on this!
I don't think would be more scammers once member cost reduced, that depends on alibaba's work on verification, if they have a better way to verify the companies, everything would be fine with a low cost of member.

My point was that if alibaba are lowering their membership fees then perhaps, at least part of the reason, may be that scammers in China are making it harder for alibaba to command the higher prices for membership that it previously required.
In the past alibaba was full of legitimate sellers, due to the fact that alibaba took some efforts to verify sellers, and also because the membership fees were quite high. Alibaba maintained a good reputation among buyers as a place to find good sellers. With so many good buyers and sellers on the site alibaba could charge high membership fees and maintain happy customers.
These days alibaba does far less to verify sellers that list here. Perhaps buyers are now more reluctant to use the site, and as sellers are now getting less business from the site they are putting pressure on alibaba to lower membership fees or lose their customers.
If this is the case then as predicted alibaba's failure to make some minor changes to the way that they do things has brought them short term profits and long term losses.
