As a young Chinese lady, I am so lucky to have traveled so far and to so many countries. Most of the time, I traveled alone, so I am very independent. Which country is the most fascinated? I will tell you later after have heard your guys experience.

Replying to [qjchain]:Where in Switzerland did you stay?

There is a fantastic Airplane museum in Lucern, and the panaroma cinema, where everybody stands and hold on to the rails. The screen is 360 degree all around, and it is very realistic to be in the movie.

A ride in the lake on a cruise boat or go to mount for skiing and snow sliding.

The Swiss are made up of 3 ethnic groups, the French, German and Romanish. They are very innovative people and can remain neutral because they are isolated from the main country of Germany and have a strong military group, consists of civilians in compulsory military service.

Replying to [cbeebies]: Dear cbeebies
I was fortunate in the stock market, and made some big payoffs buying low and selling high in the boom years of the high teach market before the crash of 2001.

As part of my vacation I went to the following countries for two weeks
Bolivia (twice)
Venezuela
Mexico
Canada (6 times)
Ireland
England
France
Rusia
India

For business pruposes, I went to China and Brazil

I lived in Peru my first 23 years, then I moved to USA and havebeen here for 21 years. I know almost all of Peru as wll as all the states.

Seeing in that many places it opens up your horizon. You see the world much smaller, like reachable. When I was growing up in Peru, I was impressed with people visiting my country from far away cities, I thought they were a different breed, more intelligent, or else. Now I realize we are the same, we have the same drives of success, we want the best for our families and personal growth, we have the same feelings and values. I wonder why in * there are wars, well that's a different topic.
Which is the city that Iiked the most, that will hard for me to choose, I went to all those places with the drive to have a good time and get to know the local traditions and I for the most part I did. Each city has its own spirit and can not realize which one was the best.

I was partying every day in Venezuela, I was surprised to learn that Venezuela is the largest importers of Scotch Whiskey in the world, and in the Altamira area, it was crowded with whiskey bars everywhere. I went to the best disco places, to the great beaches and the tourisrtic attractions, caribbean people love to dance and party a lot, clubs were open and crowded every single night of the week, but could not blend in with the locals.

Russia was a big surprise to me. I expected to find the old Soviet Union style, However I found a much more western version of Moscow, they like Rock & Roll, women like to dress to impress, how lovely was to see beautiful women dressed great every time, and they drink a lot too, they even make fun of old soviet traditions. In the Red Square you could see an impersonator of Lenin, offering a picture with him for 10 dollars. I went there to learn Russian, so I lived in the University dorm for 3 weeks, not too fasr from Moscow

Bolivia is strong with their cultural values, they celebrate everything and throw big parties. They love to dance a lot. Saya is the typical dance. Every time I went to visit relatives or friends was an ocassion to celebrate, they called all the friends and the party started, dancing their folk dances.

Ireland is quite unique, their love for their beer is like a religion, actually I better say stouts (black beer). The tradition is you could do whatever you want, you could work as a manager or laborer, anywhere in the city, taht's not opart of the discussion. However, by 7:00pm you need to be home, change clothes, take a shower and be in the pubs by 8:00 pm. That is what counts everybody gets together at the pubs by 8:00 pm tey go usually with the family, they have a sectio for the girls and for the kids, so everybody have fun. I was loving it, I got to know their traditions, learn their values and traditions. So after sighseeing the town through the day, I had to save some energy for the pub visits at night.

I could keep writing about the other places, but I better stop now, so I could see read more experiences from the audience. This is a great question, thanks for letting me recall some of my trips.

I have been to the USA, UK, Hong Kong and China. As South Africans we feel so free and liberated unlike as in the above countries where as a black person, the customs intimidated us first and then the skin heads. I like China
but without a guide one is completely lost. As a business tourist I find some Chinese very rude especially the older Chinese. The young school children that are becoming globalised and are very curious and helpfull even escorting me to my destinations. China is a nice place to be. I give China 90% love.
