i think you had better go to the factory and have a look.

Hi, I have ordered a sample of a bicycle engine kit from China and received it, but the English in the Email isn't too good. Is there some type of business certificate I can ask for? The product is good and the quoted price is reasonable. I am ready to order, but I just don't know.Hot Topic Recommend

Dont get too worried about bad english from your contacts. Of my 13 suppliers from China, more than half of them correspond to me in poor english as well. If the bad english is in the products' catalogue/brochure, you can try revising it yourself and you can ask your supplier to use your revised instructions when they prepare the brochure.
My suggestion is that if you are planning to order a sizeable amount, you should visit your supplier in China. It would give you a better idea if they are legit and should your business transaction prosper, you would find that your small investment of visiting them personally goes a long way.

In many cases Chinese salesmen have limited English skills, in itself it is no reason to worry.
It is good that you should like to secure yourself. There are a couple of things you can do:
1. Confirm the sample (you can sign it and send it back or make a detailed specification about it), and when making your order/sales contract detailedly describe the product you want to receive. You may ask for a fine for defective quality or delayed delivery if your supplier agrees. Also you may ask for a discount with the same % as the reject rate, or a warranty compensation.
2. Visit the company before delivery or ask an inspection agent to do it for you. It costs a little (around 80-120 USD a day) but it may prevent you from losing much more money.
3. An L/C payment upon delivery of the goods may ensure the right delivery time for you.
This field you have chosen is not frequented by scammers, but it pays to be careful in any case.

Sometime it is difficult to find good english speaking guy in non-english speaking countries. Specially in the production company, who does not sell thier product directly in the international market, findng good english speaking sales person is difficult. I cant speak english does not mean I am a scam.
Buy it is to difficult to have a regular conversation without english these days. To develop trust it is therefore better to visit the factory, office etc personnaly before making the deal or transact using Bank L/C or Escrwo - which are pretty secure established business transaction system.
