As to your frustration at being called "Sir", in some cultures they may not recognise your name as either male or female (try and tell me how many chinese names you can tell are which gender...) and also some cultures do not have a designation of male and female titles, so they all seem male, so if you hear someone referred to as he, when in fact they are female, it may just be a language barrier, and not a deliberate slight.

That being said, I can relate to being treated differently in some cultures as a woman in the business world. I have been hit on, told they were in love with me, etc... Sometimes in Trade Manager, when they find out I'm female (Carol can be a gender neutral name) I get "hehehe... good..." as if they now see me as possible prey or a sex object... Geez...

HEY GENTLEMEN... We may be women, but we aren't stupid, and we can spend our money how and where we like.

Don't patronize us!

If you win our trust, you will have a loyal client. If you are genuine and treat us with the same respect you reserve for your male counterparts, you will be rewarded with lasting business relationships. I think we need to start a topic on women in business, what do you think ladies?

And gentlemen, if you would like some insight on dealing with women in business, you may join us and ask questions. Look for a copy of this post starting a new thread in the Basics Forum.

Mostly, it depands which items you are selling.if your goods is popular,it means the buyer can ask others to get the price also, so your quotation should be mock up reasonable profit only.If your goods is not popular, i think, I dont need to tell you how to do,haha

Replying to [Sandy-tan]:I am totally agree with regaltech , "Actually I think it's no meaning to play a price game any more in such a transparent information era like today. Professional guys know how much you need to make for. And in some occasions the price you quoted means how professional you are."

I think it is very reasonable !

It completely decided by the different market,i think.Liking us,we manufacture the Auto Spare parts, such as Clutch Facing,Clutch Disc,Clutch Cover,Brake Parts, and C.V Joints etc for different vehicles,if the Middle East customer asked our price,we will quote the lower price than to the European customer, because the Middle East market is now very competition for the Auto Spare parts, the customer usually pay more attention to the price than the quality, this is their market requirements!
Wish all your business are well!

Replying to [regaltech]:i cannot agree with regaltech more. Here I would like to say one more. When you give the prices to the buyer who face to face with you,the prices can be a little higher, every buyer likes low price but high quality products, you can discuss the prices. But when the buyer inquiry by internet, your price must be honest.Or You will not have a further contact if your price is not good enough.
