This is how I normally do to identify scammers, with this, you should be ok for quite some time.

First of all, I do Google search with the name of the company and the word scam. Normally, there should be no page with the company listed with the word scam next to them but if you see at least one, maybe it is a scam. No need to have several pages, only one is neccessary. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Secondly, I go on a very good website, www.fraudwatchers.org who have a lsit of all website and company listed as scam. They just saved me from sending sample to a scam company. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
And thirdly, just ask people around on forums just like this one. I saw a mate who've done that. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Fourth steps is that you can verify the address they gave you and find out what's really on this. Go on www.whitepages.com and enter the address they gave you to find out if the address is really registered as their business address or at least at their names. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Fifth test is to ask them to phone you. Normally scammers won't do this but beware, some also tries to call you. Please be aware that some scammers uses call redirection which is call callback (I'm not sure of that) or they can use fax to email. Using this, they get number that are listed in U.S.A., U.K. or any European country where in reality, they are located elsewhere. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Sixth, alway inquire about the mail address. This is a mistake scammers often made. Try to see whether the email address comes from a free mail server. Suppose you get a mail from economicdevelopment@mail2cameroon.cc, be sure this is a scam. The mail address (it truely exist and they tried to scam me) is not from the Cameroon government, but from a free mail server. This is how I caught my first scammer. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Seventh and last advice for the time being; JUST COME AND ASK ME. Yes, you can come and ask me and I'll help you. I've been for so much time victim of scammer, who fortunately failed in their attempts, that I've got some pretty much experience. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
This is approximately all I can remember for the time being but again, if you need advices, feel free to contact me, it's free :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Replying to [bsanssouci]: Hi, does anybody know anything about an Ifex Electronics Limited here on Alibaba? I need help finding out if they are real or not. Thanks a lot!

Yes, unfortunately I know!!

DO NOT TRUST ON THAT COMPANY!!!

I have bought a MP4 Archos 705 and after my payment they informed me they could not send me only one and asked me to pay for 4 more.  I asked to cancel the purchase and send me back my money and they denied.

After 3 months of negotiation I suggest to send me an Iphone instead the Archos 705 and they agreed, but after some days they asked me to give then US$ 100 more to solve the costums problem.

After that new payment, they informed me a mistake on my package. Inside the package there are 2 Apple Iphones 8GB and 1 Nokia N95(8gb). Therefore they asked me to pay 550 USD.

I didn't pay anything else and until today I neither received my product or my money back

Be careful with that company!  They are not really reliable!

Cheers!

Hello!!

Maybe police can do something with it? how do You think?

Hello! I just read your article on how to identify Chinese-based scammers. I'm a US-based online cell phone retailer, and I've come to Alibaba looking for cell phone chargers and accessories. I found a company called "YeZone Electronic Co, Ltd" that offered me Nokia 6010 faceplates at a good price. Their Alibaba profile looked good, and They gave me an address and a phone number, and even emailed me an invoice for an order they sent to a guy in New York. However, they only accepted payment via T/T and Western Union, no escrow or PayPal. Could you help me figure out if they're legit?

Here's their Alibaba contact info:

http://sinoproduct.en.alibaba.com/contactinfo.html

And both of their websites:

http://www.sinoproduct.net/

http://www.yezone.com

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated. You can contact me through Alibaba, or email me at xmeaningsx@gmail.com. I have instant messaging too, if you'd prefer to talk on there.

Hello everyone,

I am currently dealing with 2 companies and I would appreciate it very much if anyone can tell me if they are legit companies or not before completing any transaction with them.

1. The First company is below. I was contacted by Mike String. I have called the company and they do have a valid phone number.

DOLLARDAYS INTERNATIONAL LLC
[United States]

Street Address : 7575 East Redfield Rd

City : Scottsdale

Province/State : Arizona

Country/Region : United States

Phone:1-480-9228155
Fax: 1-480-9223764

2. The second one is called LILAI  TRADE CO., LTD

They are not registered on alibaba, yet they contacted me with my buying lead on alibaba.

I have been speaking with a rep. called (ironically) Rose - email: orient3c@hotmail.com

There is no formal contact info in the emails I have received from her and she always addresses me with dear my customer. She has provided me with this phone#: 0086013799681767. And of course she only accepts Western Union or T/T.

Please I need all the help I can get.

Sincerely,

Alejandro Lopez

Actually, too good to be true. Scamers is in everywhere. So that we want to

I advise that when you choose a supplier, you had better choose a supplier who is the gold supplier in alibaba ,  and be a member  no less than 2 years.

If the supplier is the scamer, when alibaba received someone charge this supplier,  they will stop to show this supplier's website and make clear whether it is true.

When alibaba make sure this supplier is a scamer, they will stop to show this supplier's website.

i think it is a better way to make safe business with these supplier who are on line no less than 2 years.
