For almost one year I have been looking for an agent based in China who could source Stock Fabrics on a regualr basis but so far i have not heard from one. What's the best place to find a good trading partner ? and when you find one, how do you know he/she is genuine ?

you can try from web first,then you'll select someone mabe suitable,then you'd better come to china and check them,of they are loyal,if they have knowledge about fabric,if they are smart.then you may select the perfect person you like

You are right. It is not difficult at all to FIND an agent. BUT it is difficult to find the qualified one. Mostly it depends on the quality of the agent you are dealing with. It takes time to identify and  appraise the agents. How to identify and appraise? It worths a face to face meeting and practical investigation. Honesty is the key factor to start coopeation no matter if you talk about agents or even manufacturer. Yes, some manufacurers do have their entities such as the factory, the production lines. That is not primar. Good personality and honesty is the key issue for pleasant cooperation and sustaining development for both parties.
