Can any one guide me, If I get a reefer (1 TON) from pakistan at DUBAI air port of fresh vegetables via air. how much custom duty will be charged and what would be the role of clearance agent. and how much clearance aget will charge on that.

First please clarify something. You talk about a reefer, but then say 1 ton. Was that just a typo or do you want to share a reefer with somebody?

You can get quite a few tons in a reefer, as produce is mostly water and therefore heavy. One ton is "nothing". And at the average cost of produce, shipping one 40' container is about the minimum to make it viable, economically speaking.

Thanks germex for your kind attention, I am new in the feild, this information of 1 TON reefer is provided by a clearance agent from Pakistan whos service we are going to hire. 1 TON means our vegetables contained in that reefer would be of 1000 Kg except all other weights that we dont know. This reefer is by AIR so thats why air line using small size reefers for persihable items. Now my question again, how much charges I have to pay at DUBAI port, what ever these charges are,may I have detail of these? If I hire a clearance agent what would be his role and other wise I do that job my self, how much I can save there.?

Ok, admittedly I never thought in the possibility of shipping produce by air, as for most countries the relationship between produce cost and shipping fees would make it impossible to do that.

Anyway, you better hire an agent in Dubai. He knows exactly what to do, how much what costs, etc. If you tried to do all that, it would take away too much time and attention from your business. Better focus on buying and selling. And typically they are quite willing to tell you in advance how much approximately you'll have to pay.

 As germex advised, hire one agent for arriving airport firstly

Main role for him is doing paperjob for custom declaration and plant quarrantine procedure..

You don't have to do paper work,  unless you are so free to do custom experience.

But when your business becomes routine, maybe you can do it by your own self.
