I made an agreement for 10 husqvarna chainsaws with the following company. i paid on 29/10/08. now company stating will only do 20 units to please send more money. i said no send as agreed or refund money. I am now unable to contact by email and phone is turned off. as a mother of 5 i cant afford to lose this money. please advise what i can do PT.MANTAP X CHAIN SAW

You have been scammed. This company has probably never existed and you have practically no chance to get your money back. You can report it to the anti-fraud division of your police and the Indonesian police as well but in terms of a refund you have no possibilities.


I am sorry for your loss but there is not really much to do now. Be more careful next time. Indonesia is a haven for frauds, unfortunately, especially if it is products of any brand name.

The seller cannot legally even sell those products to you in the first place even if they did have them, which they wouldnt have.

You have been scammed so chalk it up to experience and avoid trying to buy foreign brand name products from Asia.

But as there is already a distributor that covers Australia, why then would you want to pay the additional cost of import duty and tax.?

Sorry to hear of  your loss of money, because you have been scammed by  Indonesian SCUMBAGS,... same as what happened to me in April 08.

You can report it to the Indonesian Embassy Police, Canberra,  (Mr. HASAN MALIK )but as I have just been informed, by phone after phoning them once every few weeks,... they can't do anything about it because there are thousands of these scams happening in Indonesia, and I think they are happy to let it exist as an industry and are not concerned about  people being scammed.

All I can suggest is for someone to inform 60 MINUTES or some other reality program, to get it out there to the general public how endemic these scams are.

PEOPLE,... DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM INDONESIA... UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN THERE TO SEE THE PRODUCT ... OR YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH.  !!!!!!!!!

From the address  itself it stated warning: Scammer !!

since no company will have no address at the airport unless it was a freight or airline related company . Bandara in Indonesian means  Bandar  Udara = Airport .  So becareful and peel your eyes well. Not all Indonesian are  scammers. So  as fellow Indonesian i felt sorry for you and disgusted to the guy that scams you up.
