What legal papers do I need?

I'm about to close a deal with a manufacturer in china, and I really dont know what is next, can somebody give some advice?  What type of legal documents needs to be done?

I want to make sure everything goes well.

Of course it is important to have your documents in order.

But I think you also need to also concentrate on ensuring that the supplier is a good one to be dealing with in the first place, and that they can make the product to your satisfaction.

The best way of verifying this is through product sampling and onsite verification of the supplier.

Strong contracts may protect you when problems arise but good preparation should help you avoid those problems in the first place.

How I do an onsite verification of the manufacturer in china?

Either you travel there to see yourself or appoint an independent inspection agent (which is not so costly but still does it).

In case there was any confusion I did mean on location verification not on website verification.

You can get a lot of information by searching the net and sometimes this can help you spot clearly scam companies. So that should be your first resource.

But the only way to know for sure that the supplier is legit and can make the products you need at the level you need them is to check it out for yourself. If your order sizes are not large enough to warrant this extra expense then perhaps you may find it a better option to buy from a distributor or wholesaler back home where you at least have consumer protection against fraudulent sales.
