I don't hesitate like many around the world by saying that China is the next super power and business hub. Chinese businesses are capturing the world and I am very happy to see that as China is our best friend and neighbour.
China helps us in all times of need. It is the time to review the chinese businesses and their strategies and my research shows that Chinese business companies need better sales training for the stff to increase the sales effeciency and to serve the world much better.
Skills, Trainned staff and Management is the key to sucess in this global world today in field of business. What u guys say?
Good point.
It seems to me that the most competitive factories in China are also the ones that pay the least to their staff. So this means that they are the type of factory that attracts new graduates on low wages but then loses these staff to other factories that offer more money once they have experience.
So the experienced sales staff end up working for the 'professional' factories in the larger cities, while the rest of the factories are staffed by sales staff that are either:
a. new graduates;
b. otherwise inexperienced;
c. not great communicators in English;
d. family members
I think it is important to recognize this situation but I dont think that it presents such a huge problem. As a buyer you just have to work out how to work within that system.
To my mind if Chinese sales staff all spoke perfect English and if factories were as professional as those in western countries then:
a. we would all be paying a lot more for the goods they produce;
b. a lot more 'buyers' would appear on the scene as it would have become that much easier to buy from China.
Personally I am always seeking out new factories for new opportunities and I generally avoid the 'professional' factories as I find that they are often too regimented and less flexible and accepting to new ideas.
I agree but the sales staff trainning does't cost much and it is very important for Chinese companies to handle the customer with care as customer management and customer satisfaction is key to sucess.
There is a huge difference between a new starter and a trainned sales satff.

'Cost' is in the eye of the beholder.
I agree with you that investment in staff training can bring back more than you spend but most factories in China are all about cutting costs in order to become more competitive in order to get more orders.
This is not entirely the fault of factories in China as the price pressure often comes from customers who traditionally turn to China for cheap products.
Factory owners would likely never hear about losing customers to bad sales service as the customers can often not communicate with the boss and the sales staff themselves are hardly likely to translate the concerns across.
So a factory boss may always assume that customers are going elsewhere based upon cheaper prices and therefore this is where they focus their attention.
I am sure it will change, and perhaps now with the global economy the way it is, there is a good opportunity for change. The factories that do embrace this will be the ones that survive and the ones that continue the lower price lower quality spiral will likely disappear over time.

i have learned much from your words, and the we should improve the Capability,
it seems that you are so familar with the situation in the factory, and thanks for your
In a degree, i agree with you.
As a matter of fact, factories in China, not the national ones but the foreign-funded ones all exist this phonominen. Usually the situation of us and euro factories which launched in China are much more better than others. Notions are important, as well knowldege is the same. Frankly speaking, most factory boss, i mean those who run factories in China, do have shortages of management and perspective views. to a factory I think that is fatal.

Dear,
Yes this is very true that bosses in Chinese factories do not understand global customer services and technical management abilities which can increase their profitability. There are many chinese sales staff that contacted me for free assesment and the main problem was their boss who was not willing to improve sales services and management technicals.
I hope the situation wil change soon. The best I can do is to provide assesment to sales staff who contacted me. Wishing good luck to Chinese brothers.

Hey Taal, Yep i hear what ur saying, such is the experience of the many
. In my opinion the issue is often the lack of quality training, education and understanding in communicating cross culturally a message/ product by persons with english as a second language. This often makes it hard for call center staff to gain understanding of your own message/ manufacturer/ product enquiry as it is for SOME chinese sale staff to represent theirs.
Understanding the culture of your target market is more than just about population numbers & statistics = sales.
Tho perhaps if a person who interacted with Chinese business spoke chinese instead of colonial english, do you think they might get a better response/ service?
Also there are some awesome chinese buinesses that do this really well e.g.
