Quoting from [Aim Direct USA]:
I too had received the emails Stucky a while back but was never able to contact him. As far as the other information you provided Ranger I had uncovered some a few weeks back myself.
Ranger and Aim Direct,
Let me first say that I have nothing but the uptmost respect for you gentlemen as reputable members of the forum and I admire and commend you for your efforts in offering the less experienced advice in avoiding the pitfalls of dishonest sellers. You two in my opinion are noble patriots, and as I said before I have nothing but respect for you gentlemen.
That being said I disagree with the comments and attempts you have made to discredit our business as Mr. Stucky and myself. However we are not looking for endorsements or approval, we just ask that you refrain from casting doubt about our business. Neither of you have had any dealings with us, nor can anyone out there say that we have wronged them in any way. But again whether or not people choose to do business with us is up to them. But we are straying from the topic.
I don't know about you guys, but mobile phone trade is how I earn a living. This is what I do, this is my expertise. So I humbly would like to offer my advice.
Basically this topic is about suppliers, however there are what I believe are 3 levels of phone trade:
Beginner: Trading boards, Buying from China, Getting scammed etc.
Intermediate: Brightpoint, AA wireless, Ingram Micro etc.
Advanced: Trade companies, connections, import/exporters, distributors
AIM direct and Ranger, the two of you both push Brightpoint, AA wireless, Ingram micro etc. Yes they are big companies, but NO they do not always offer the best pricing. These companies are great companies and we do at times do business with them, but they don't always offer the best pricing. They do carry a wide range of goods, so if you are looking to stock 100 different models they may be your go to source. I guess it depends what you are after.
For example I log into my accounts and check pricing today and look up Nokia N95 8gb at 3 of the companies listed in Rangers Post. Prices for this phone is as follows:
Brightpoint: $489/pc
Ingram Micro: $475/pc
AA wireless: $485/pc
However with all this being said, we have an ad listed on craigslist here for the same phone at $465/pc
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ele/908614385.html
Its cash and carry so you know this is LEGIT. Are we bigger than these companies? No. But we, like many other trade companies, can offer better pricing on numerous items through our connections. This industry is about WHO YOU KNOW. If you only buy from these companies, you will not necessarily maximize profit.
Another phone talked about in this post is the HTC diamond. Brighpoints cost is $533. Well heres another ad we are running.
http://losangeles.craigslist.org/wst/ele/909097858.html
Again Cash and carry. So you know this is real.
sorry couldnt fit my whole post in.
Bottom line is this. Did you ever wonder why these "Big" companies you have reseller agreements with offer a certain price, and then when you log on to ebay, you have someone selling on there at MUCH CHEAPER THAN YOUR COST? Yea, its because the knowledgable traders don't always buy from these companies, and as someone in the business it is highly recommended you have more than one source for your goods.
Like I said this industry is about who you know. Its about insiders, traders, importers/exporters etc. The purpose of this post is to educate the newbies, but you have only pointed people in the direction of "LARGE" companies, however many won't be able to maximize profit buying from these companies. Those listed are all great companies, but to think that you could get the best pricing on everything from one of these companies is nieve.
Now as I said before, we are not here to look for your endorsements, we are just trying to make a living and would appreciate if you refrain from casting doubt about our operations.
As I said before, EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO PICK UP THEIR ITEMS FOR US. AGAIN, EVERYONE IS WELCOME TO PICK ITEMS UP FROM US. We even offer local delivery in the greater los angeles area. But so I digress.
Anyway we are just here to do business and make a living. Whether or not people choose to purchase from us is up to them, but as I said before I find it slanderous that two respected members of this forum that have never dealt with us are creating opinions. We are not asking for endorsements, we just want a fair chance at doing business.
First you need to go back and look at what I posted.
I have highlighted information about your company in the original post. I did say you were legally registered and I further advised that anyone doing business should do a fly and buy.
Which is the same as a local pick-up.
You state that Mr. Stucky has a real company in Kansas City, MO. However if you can show me that he in fact has a corporation and is not the sole proprietorship shown with the Missouri Secretary of States Corporation and Fictious Business Department, I will ammend my post. however I have access to all 50 of the SOS Corporation Departments in the U.S. and in Missouri Mr. Stucky is not affiliated to nor an agent or CEO of any company, LLC or LP. Since he has only listed his business recently and therefore could not have recieved a re-sellers tax id# under this name until August of 2008 he would not have been able to supply any brand name products other than thru dropshipping by another reseller or VAR.
Actually you might want to check the numerous on line posts on B2B sites for Mr. Stucky in which he claims that he is a Globalstar Electronics Distribution Co.

Brightpoint is always about $20-$40 higher then anyone else.
Yup, this is getting comical.

Another claiming contact as Globalstar Electronics Distribution. However, that phone number as well represents no company in Kansas with the name More Power LLC
Funny it claims that your logistical operations manager for a non existing company. No such company in KS or MO. I just love that all the numbers associated with GED are all VoIP numbers.

Ranger,
My biggest issue here is that you are commenting negatively and creating suggestions on a business that you have no prior experiences with. That being said no one can say anything negatively about us because we have NEVER cheated a single client. We run an honest business, and have a long list of clients for reference.
That being said, your suggestion of doing business only via "fly and buy" with us casts a negative tone to our business, implying that we are dishonest dealers. While we welcome anybody to come pick up their orders (yes I know what a fly and buy is), that is not a practical suggestion for 99% of the world that does not reside in Los Angeles county. That guy in Florida running an ebay store is not gonna fly over to LA for 10 pcs, nor is that guy in the UK for his 20 pcs.
You have essentially hindered our business by commenting negatively and making "suggestions", preventing honest people from doing business. Anyone remotely interested in doing business with us but not able to do a fly and buy will see Ranger (a respected moderator), post and decline to do business with us. This is my discrepancy with your posting.
That being said I don't necessarily agree with Mr. Stucky's advertising practices (we are separate entities), and if what you say is true I will address it with him, because I do not agree with the practices if true. However that being said I know that he is well connected in the industry and has many satisfied clients.
All of your posts in these forums direct people to these "large distributors" ignoring the fact that most people will not even qualify to purchase from these companies (lack of credentials), nor be able to purchase in the volume required to get the prices they need to profit. It is trade companies like ours that buy in bulk or have connections that can allow smaller buyers (the newbies) to compete. But so I digress.
Anyway as the original poster said we will try to stay on topic. I apologize to the original poster for hijacking your thread. That being said, do you really buy all your stuff from Brightpoint? You know there are other distributors and numerous other VARs that could probably give you better pricing?
Once again what is slanderous? I maintained you were a real registered company in CA. I personally verified the registration Richard. But on your own website you have put Jason Stuckey as staff member on your web page. All anyone has to do is do a google search of
(Jason Stuckey - Globalstar Electronics)
That takes you to http://www.pr.com/press-release/110368
Which then takes you to http://www.pr.com/press_list.phpreleased=all&keyword=globalstar
I for one would be concerned about the affiliations to other businesses that represent themselves as something they are not.
Its not slanderous to present facts which are verifiable and have been verified.
Now I would be even more leary since the member known as morepowerLLC claims to be a logistics manager for GED but then that business does no exist either in KS or MO.
Funny little thing that most people don't understand. Irreguardless of where a company is physically registered it also must be registered in the state where it claims to be doing business as a foreign company. Meaning registered in another state or country.
At any rate for me there is not a big enough profit margin in selling cell phones, especially when you can get them free or almost free in most instances from the carriers provided your selling their service plans. There is definetly a higher margin for return and yearly turnaround margins.
Personally, I'd direct anyone interested in the cell phone industry to become a master reseller of cell phone carrier services. You can probally sell the Nokia N95 at those prices but you cant beat master re-sellers where the price before the plans are $345.00USD ~ $395.00USD depending on the plan you choose.
