If you are selling to Europe do you list your prices in Dollars or Euros
Post 1 of 7

Hi

My company is from Peru, I want to send a quotation to a client in Europe. But with the actual economy crisis I can't decide if giving my prices in Dollars or Euros. I understand most of the trades are done in dollars but right now the dollar is not so steady. My suppliers and other costs are in Soles, I would like some advice.

Thanks

It is a good idea to quote in EUR to European clients, first, because they do not have to convert it to EUR, as they would do, other, EUR is more stable nowadays than USD. Also, if you buy on USD and sell on EUR you may realize a little profit from the exchange rates if you have luck.

As you may see many Chinese suppliers have converted to EUR quotations recently, because the exchange rate of EUR is less volatile than USD.

if you sell to europe it is always safe to trade in euros, especially taking the present day conditions.

Buyers in Europe prefer prices to be in euro´s or usd$.

No buyer will pay the currency from Peru - so must quote in euro´s or usd$
