There are many manufacturers are also traders: Some manufactuers have no time and money to invest and stock: so they sell to the traders and get the money for their further production: Trader may buy same  product from various manufacturers and sell  ;

Factories replied with NOT-ALL-YES while traders reply with NOT-ALL-NO.[em1]

Dealing with manufacturer can be redundant and time consuming at times. People prefer to do things fast and some would even fork out additional money in order to achieve that. Buying from traders allowed customers to do things more efficiently.

Some traders provide a better additional service such as logistics, QC, etc.

While manufacturer dont usually do that. If the difference in price between the two supplier is worth the additional service, wholeseller would rather pay that additional price. After all, the consumers will be paying for those additional price at the end of the day, all they have to do is charge a higher price [em3]

This is a very interesting questions, the main reason is because so many factories don't really understand what the buyers wants.  Most factories because of this reason will waste so much of buyers times and for the buyers that would be not worth it at all.  Time is money so the buyers feel it would be better just giving it to trading companies to solve the problem for them.  I am dealing with factories for the past 4 years and believe me if I am the buyer I will not spend any of my time dealing with them.

If you are speaking of China specifically, I recommend that you use a trader or reputable OEM manufacturer if you are new or do not travel to the factories in person. My company employs two separate companies to provide a human face with the factory, express my terms correctly, follow specifications for the product and ensure they are made correctly and shipped on time. They also provide me with intelligence, such as what's really going on in the factory. We manufacture for many, very large clients. We pay our "on the ground" associates a modest amount. But the results are priceless. We do not like disapointing a client, ever. So we take these steps to provide good quality and smooth production and shipping. You are best served to use an OEM manufacturer or brand manufacturer that has this system in place, or use a trader. But remember, a trader will work with any one and it is impossible for the trader to be an expert in all categories. So the trader is only as good as your description and instructions of what is needed. Also there is always the chance (unfortunately) that some traders "double dip" or take money from you for the service and then demand money from the factory for "finding" the client (you). This is just a waste of money.

Most buyers that buy directly from traders seldom learn the art of custom designing the products or privatising with their brands.

They do not care for the end user but instead keep an eye on fast profits instead of strnegthening a customer line with a reliable brand name product of their own brand. They try and collect what's on sale from the traders come what may.

A genuine buyer will always deal with the maufacturer and get the right products with complete satisfaction.

Hi,

Traders have always been the interface between manufacturing and final consumer. Sales and Marketing is an expensive endevour if done well and profesional they do come at a high cost to the manfucaturer which he rather puts inot a external sales organisation.
