To have your business up and running in China, your China company (a joint venture or a wholly owned foreign enterprise) needs to be fully registered. The whole process usually takes 4 to 6 months, depending on your China operation scale and industry sector.

Table below shows the standard registrations required in most regions in China and the registration authorities:

    Key Authorities/Organisations Key Activities
Ministry of Commerce or its subsidiary & Local Industry and Commerce Administration Bureau Business License registration
    State Taxation Bureau Tax registration
    Local Taxation Bureau Tax registration
Foreign Administration Office of Police Carving company seal and company seal registration
Bank Open a Chinese/foreign currency bank acc.
Foreign Exchange Administration Bureau Foreign Currency Certificate and registration
    Public Security Bureau Register expatriates
    Customs Office Customs Registration

For further information in regard to China business registration assistance program, registration documents preparation, governance issues, employer responsibilities, taxation requirement and profit repatriation, please contact Sara Cheng, Manager, Greater China, Australian Business International Trade Services.

First, you have to locate the right place and rent an office in China,

Then hire local service agent to help you. It's not difficult for us but it's not easy for you to complete all the procedures.

    Take care!

do you mean a office company like a agent office?

if like this, the best way is to register a HK company but office in China.and you can open an company bank in HK or in China bank, HK bank would required RMB10,000, China bank would required RMB50,000 for beginning. cost of register a HK company is about RMB 4500.

If you want to register a China local company, that would have a lot of work to do, much higher company register fee, taxes, accounter, every month would have many work to do for the sales value and others more for the accounter to do. a very terrrible to work with China government.and department of the government may sometime come to ask you for a bonus, otherwise you would have trouble for your company, anyway, they have many execuse to ask for bonus from you.
