Hello, I am new to buying items on these trade sites. I have run across allot of vendors that sell Laptops, SLR cameras, mp3 players etc... and they have all gave me great prices on cameras that go for thousands of dollars here in the USA, and by great I'm talking about $200-300 for a Nikon D80. Now all the vendors I have contacted have had the Gold status on the trade sites. But I'm curious is this the going rate for this type of item and since I live in the USA everything is overpriced? When stuff was a clone they have told me like for the hand bags and shoes and stuff  but they say these items are real that in china the wholesale is allot cheaper then the USA and they get them directly from the manufacture. Has anyone had any experience with buying these items from china and abroad? Is this the real deal? I know you can't tell me if the company I'm dealing with is legit but I'm just asking in general.

First, never believe someone that told you price of their branded product with a suppiring low price. If they tell you a Nikon D80 only cost USD200-300, I can tell you know that these guys are scrammers for sure.

For branded product of cameras such as Nikon or Cannon, they have strict policy when selling in china and other factory, they will not allow their agent in china sell units to other region. I bought D80 one year ago, retail price for whole kit with lens is around USD1280.00

Now we can also see the retail price for D80 here in China still goes with USD1000.00.Hope you understand what I mean now.l

Anyway, it is your decision to choose whether do business with them or not.

Leave it. You may be sure that companies like Nikon, Apple, Nokia etc. protect their distributors and dealers very strictly. Consider what may happen:

1. The products are original, but they are factory kick-offs or stolen. In this case you get involved with criminals, and you may become subject of regulations against financing organized crime, reception of stolen property etc. By the way this scenario has the smallest likelihood.

2. The products are cheap fakes, and you are cheated. You lose money and get some useless crap. Nevertheless you can try to sell these, subjecting yourself to charges of product piracy.

3. The products do not exist. You are cheated and lose money.

The promise of some quick bucks is very tempting, but remember, there are no wonders nowadays. If something seems too nice to be true, probably it is.

Yes, Daniel Zhang is very very very right for this issue.  That will be scammer 100%

It is impossible to buy New original Brandname items from China Mainland with cheap unreasonable price, BEWARE!!

So don`t waste your money and time to scammer, you send money to them, then get nothing for what you order, and also can`t get money back from their pocket.beware.

Best regards

Paul

Thanks all for your responses I am quite curious now.  Because the companies are like the first company that comes up on TradeKey.com with 3000 trust points and Gold Member status. It makes you wonder are these reputable sites putting scammers up as there #1 or whats the deal here.  Do you know if there are companies in china that make Replicas of the camera's?

Hey there ... don't even think about importing the "Replicas" you just mentioned ... USA Customs do impound and destroy fake brand name products (the only ones which slip in undetected are mainly small lots of one to six items in expensive courier bags with courier companies such as DHL).
