It is said that most of the people are using only 10% of their brain capacity and most of our creative expression is birthed in the unconscious mind. To use these creativity and solution in our daily life, we must dip into our own unconscious mind at will. Doodling is one of the way.
By doodling on a piece of white paper, we create symbolic expression as well as numbers. Symbols have both universal and personal meaning where else numbers can get us in touch with the archetypal concepts. When we are stuck with problems or looking for a creative innovation, doodling will be able to unlock our unconscious mind.
To practice the art of doodling, do the following:-
*Focus on something that you are attempting to create or resolve. Hold the initial idea/desire in the mind and allow yourself to go into a blank stare or soft focus (the sky, a white wall). As ideas and feelings come to the mind simply doodle them onto a piece of clean white paper.
*Allow yourself to focus exclusively on an idea and discuss it with a friend. While you are discussing it doodle on a piece of clean white paper. Continue to doodle as you talk and listen. Don’t interpret or inhibit what you are drawing.
When doodling, try to let you hand to go free, get into a mild trance and disengage your conscious mind. When you finish doodling, set aside the paper for some time. Wait until your mind is fresh then look at what you have drawn. You may began to get the feelings or maybe you will be able to see the actual structure from what you have drawn. You may have unconsciously drawn the solution to your problems as a structure in the doodles.
Some people are prolific doodler. They doodle when they are on the phone, in a meeting or in any passive environment. Doodling can reveal important information and the feeling of a person at the time, including the unexpressed emotion. But in truth, no one can interpret our doodling except ourselves. Our unconscious mind is attempting to contact us all the time. It is usually blocked by our habitual conscious thought patterns and emotions therefore it is important for us to learn how to unleash our hidden power of the unconscious mind.
