Post 1 of 10

I have been caring to import the goods equal 1x40'HC

The delivery terms: CIF Vietnam port

Payment: TT in advance

And now the vessel already arrived the destination port and I lost full set of ocean bill of lading (3/3) so I can not release the container and I have to bear too much storage and demurrage fee with the port authority

Now I hope you will help find out some good solution in order to I can release my good soon

    Good Morning

My name is Nikki Campbell & I am the Import Manager for Uniexpress Ltd - a freight forwarder based in the UK.

Usually when bills of lading are lost, the best solution is to arrange for a bank guarentee or indemnity.  You would have to ask your bank to produce and forward a copy to the shipping line to approve the wording.  Once approved the shipping line should release your container to you on receipt of the original bank indemnity.

Hope this helps - if you need anything further pls just let me know.

    Best regards Nikki Campbell

Please think of us the next time you arrange an import/export shipment as we are a great company who offer good rates and an excellent service.

    Hi Nikki,

Is that workable anyway? You see with TT transfer the bank knows almost nothing about products and everything. [em4]

Hello, please don't worry about this problem,I hope my answer can help you some.

You should contact your forward agent right now,and ask them to make the Telerelease or ask your forward agent reissue an orginal B/L to you soon, but for this two ways,it should be on the basis of  you and  your forwarder's trust.

If your orignial B/L's notifiy party and consignee are all your company's name or information.then you just need make a certificate to certify your company is the consignee.then after the goods arrived, they will release the goods for you.

Anyway, the best solution way is to discuss with your forward agent. They can solve that for you,I think.

Hope you can get rid of this trouble easily.

    Best regards,

    Doreena

You have to contact with your shipper about that, they can solve the problem easily,in china, if we lost the B/Ls,we could just provide one explaination stamped by the shipper and  a certain amount of guarantee money to the shipping company, the shipping linner will agree to issue a new B/L to you.

It is a good advise, it works 100% for TELERELEASE, I did exprienced in this situation. It is a very simple issue to rectify if haho works on this, maybe for supplier need to pay a bit more for this Telerelease service. I hope it works in Vietnam too.

it is easy, just ask your seller to telex release, then you can have the container, but you must make full payment for that container.

Hi,my name is William,we met the same suiation before, you just contact your supply, tell them you lost B/L,ask them to help you to make the cargo telex release.
What them do is only contact the forwarder, tell them the truth and issue an announce
on newspaper,to say the B/L lost, then forwarder can make this order telex release, you can go to port to pick up your cargo, that is easy, the charge for the issue announce is approx USD 80,good luck
