I can't think of any. At first sight it might look like food and clothing should be safe, but if you think about it, you'll realize that they also have to face hardships. The customer who previously was buying kaviar might now (or soon) have to settle for sardines, while somebody else might buy a T-shirt instead of a dress shirt.

That means you can adapt, but nothing is "safe".

Quote from Prime Minister Wen Jiabao , we will do understand it.

"Gold and currency is not the most important, it is important to have confidence"

Believe that we can out of the crisis, everything will turn better.

snsint,

Yes there is.  The answer is Gold and Silver.  Depending on how much you want to invest, you can either buy from the NY Comex and take immediate delivery or buy from a well known, established and reputable coin dealer.  But the safest way to own precious metals is strictly in the physical state.  i.e. gold/silver  boullion, coins or bars.  Not ETF's, not "paper" gold!  Toomany scams going on.  Even fake gold coins and bars which is why you need to "know" who you're dealing with.  It is the ONLY currency in the world, with NO DEBT AGAINST IT!  That's all she wrote.  :)
