Allyn,

Please read both the many posts made in this forum and also a lot in the Due Dilligence forum. Most of your answers are there. It is always best to do some research first then come and ask specific questions.

Agreeing with Foow, I would like to give you one advise, is that you should first do enough homework to invest your money. You should know which products are better and demanding at your country and how much does it cost in sense of duties, or taxes or other things.. secondly, if you are trying to workout on some new products which you have never purchased before, you must learn some knowledge first about that..

also you must know from where the good quality product you can buy.. and how can you reduce your expenses.. remember, never make any financial transaction with any body you don't know before... the best way if you want to buy big amount of products then do it by bank thorough LC..

keep visitng the forums and other forums to learn more and more.. read teh experiences of other members and it will help you alot.

what i understand from your question that you already know which all good s you are going to invest and are reluctant about the payement ...
You should be also, there are 10 scammers against one geuine seller these days...
while paying do involve bank and payemnt through western unions ans paypal are bound to go wrong..
try a bank l/c also make sure that you get to pay after doing inspection that too at unloading port...
Thay way you will be secured , in this type of arrangemnet the seller gets his payment after a longer ime, and against that sometime he aske for a higher price which you should give to get you goods and money secured..
Once a trust has been established next time you can easliy work with your seller...

Hi
There are many ways to send money to suppliers in China, but not all suppliers will use all of thes payment types, so each supplier you need to ask this question.
Also depends on the porducts you want to buy from China and how many will you buy, are you in Business in UK now or is this a part time business for you.
Have you checked the market for the products you want to buy?, and using Ebay is not the best way due to the prices on there, how would you offer the products for sales, make adverts in papers?

How would you take payments for the products and what about the warranty of the products you would offer.

Sure there are many suppliers in China like in Uk we have lots of people selling goods, would you send cash to them in UK, MMmmm only if you trust them, sure that's the best way, but you need to gain this trust from the supplier, if you are unsure of questions contact me anytime i bee happy to try to advice you as we have imported to UK since 2004.
