If im having goods sent to the port of savannah how do i then get them to my house or a center near me?

You ask your US based customs clearance agent / forwarder to provide you with a quotation from the port to your door. You can then generally pay for the delivery costs along with the customs fees and taxes so effectively you make one payment. It might cost you a little bit more than arranging delivery yourself but consider the savings in time and convenience of having it all arranged.
