SPAIN STEEL TRADING COMPANY STOLE MY MONEY
Post 1 of 2

We are a trading company in Hong Kong.

I have a payment problem with a spanish steel trading company called "RAAL STEEL TRADING"

I would like to seek for help, what I can do to get my money back.

Around 2 years ago, I shipped a trial order of WIRE ROD to a spanish trading company in Spain.

The value is around USD10,000.

He made a payment of 50% ($5,000) after the signing the contract and in the contract, it said that, rest of the payment will be made after the test.

HOWEVER, RAAL STEEL TRADING keep saying that, his client is too busy to test the goods.

It postponed for 1 year!!!!

Finally he told me he did the test,  but he kept saying he did not receive the payment from his client either.

it's been 2 years now.  I cannot wait any longer.  WHat can i do to get my money?

$5,000 isnt very big but i do not want to lose it and esp to someone who is very unprofessional and untrustworthy.

Should I

Please HELP!

Thank you

Dear Sirs,

Without an L/C you basically have no way to obtain the money without going to court and getting legal. This is assuming you have a mutually signed contract.

So that leaves 2 choices - Either the guys in the grey suits strong arm or a better way would be to find out where RAAL Steel Trading is doing business and with whom they are doing it. Then I would warn RAAL that if they do not pay immeditaely ie within 24 hours from time of your email that you will definitely expose them as a non-trustworthy company to do business with.

If this does not work then I would approach a consumer advocate company threaten to expose RAAL to the media ie news or TV.  The threat of this seems to ALWAYS work.

Good luck and I hope this helps you.

Best Regards,
