Hi to everyone out there. I have just joined the community but I have been viewing for quite some time [em7]

I'm almost 24 years old and i have been working for others all the time. Sitting in the office all the time and i am quite bored of it especially with my current job as a marketing executive. I hate to come to the office because it seems like everyone is slacking including the employer himself. our office hour end at 5pm and staffs would pack their bags and stuff before 4.50pm. That's somehow make me sickening because sometimes when I have some extra work and i am not allowed to finish off my work because the senior holding the office keys would like to close the door. Even the employer himself stay inside the office less then 5hours a day. Sometimes when i managed to get some client's contact whom requesting for quotation and discount and i am so eagerly wanted to reply them, i need to seek an approval from my boss before i sent out any reply. To make the matter worst, my employer himself treat it as if it is nothing at all. For example last week, I am supposed to reply a client urgently because there are other supplier that wanted to close the deal as well. But my boss insisted that we will reply the client a week later due to us all rushing home for holiday. I was like so irritated with his attitude as a boss to treat a business deal so lightly...

Well, back to the story, i am really very disappointed working with such company and i was wondering am i capable to start a small business that require low start up capital.

I seek advices here from all the senior about some easy to manage, low capital and low risk business, if there are any. More details are much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Well im having 1 problem now. im staying at a small village that probably about an hour drive away from town. People here have no access to entertainment. No cinema, no shopping complex, and they did not have easy access to high-tech stuff. As what i can see in this 6 months staying at this place, very often there would be a new boutique but usually they only have a lot of customer during the first week and then going dead for the following month. at the moment i really can't think of anything suitable to do at a small town. Dear Elisha,
Its good to find someone who has a passion for work like you do. I believe you have much more to offer than you are given the chance to express .
If I may advice I should think that buying and selling is the best kind of business you can do, Services are ok, but people can do without them at times. You have a natural zeal for business and i think with that you can grow any business you decide to start no matter how small you start. Like I always say, íts ok to start smalll but dont ever settle for remaining small', everything that has life grows, and if you inject a lot of your life into your work it will definitely grow. i must let you know trhat starting is not always easy, it will not gaurantee you the security of a monthly or weekly salary, but at the end it will pay off.
Apart from doing something in your immediate community I think you should also try out internet marketting if you are sincere, dependable and hardworking, you should have clients all over the world using you as a gateway into your country.
I do hope I have been of some help, if you need anymore advice you can always get my details from alibaba. I wish you well.

    Hey Dear Elisha:

Well, I am suprised that we are in exactly the same situation, I am now working in an exporting manufactory and this place is far, far away from downtown. I am sick of this kind of life but I can't find a way out. lol... If you are in China now may be I could be your partner and set up a small joint venture or something..... concerning you are not, I suggest that may be you can start with a small resturaut or cafeteria, you dont ivest too much money but the profit is visible.

it's just a piece of advice and I am also looking a way to get rid of the life that I am living. I'd like to discuss with you further by chance.  anyway , good luck.

We are surprisingly in the exactly same situation except for different location [em20]

Me too, are working in an exporting manufacturing company hahaha. Well then i have already decided to go along with the servicing field [em7] Going for computer servicing since my fiancee was an ex pc technician. And from there slowly move onto selling hardware. That's probably the most difficult part cuz from my survey this few weeks, there is only 1 computer shop at this town and this town is surrounding by a lot big manufacturing company and all of those company buy pc related item from that shop included the company i am working right now XD so i assumed those are their all time customer and i will need to think up a plan to get some order from those manufacturing company [em20]

    My friend,

Be careful. You should also think of the difficulties.

If you begin the PC business, where do you got the commodity? If that shop lower down price, are you ready? Are you sure the companies will buy PC from your shop, not the other shop? Do you know how many PC those companies will buy monthly?

Always think of the difficulties as if they will happen, it will help you to find the methods in advance, and you can settle the problem in advance.

To start a business isn't easy. Otherwise many people around you already start. Why don't they? This is my advice. Wish it will be helpful.
