Mahindra Scorpio mHAWK Automatic Unveiled!

Mahindra Scorpio mHAWK Automatic Unveiled Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M ) introduced a new version of the Scorpio with an Automatic transmission in Pune and Bangalore, early this week. Just in time for the festive season, the new Scorpio Automatic is the first and only SUV in India to feature a Six-speed Automatic Transmission.

The Scorpio Automatic comes loaded with the 2.2-Litre mHawk power plant and it will be available in the VLX and the VLS variants. The VLX model is priced at Rs 10.75 lakhs (ex-showroom , Pune) while the VLS model has a slightly cheaper price-tag of Rs 10.24 lakhs (ex-showroom , Pune).

The transmission technology and components on the new Scorpio have been sourced from an Australian firm named Drive train Systems International (DSI). The Six speed transmission features built-in intelligent drive modes to suit the driving conditions and an anti-roll back mechanism while in the ‘Drive’ mode.

The Scorpio Automatic also features the Brake Transmission Shift Interlock (BTSI) technology that does not allow the gear lever to be released out of the ‘Park’ position unless the driver applies the brake. The airconditioning system too has been improvised and enhanced on the new Scorpio and the centre console also gets an all new look. The car will carry all the other state of the art technologies seen on the VLX and VLS trims of the mHawk Scorpio.

the new automatic scorpio is a great invention and it helps the driver having an easy ride on the car. the AT version is an easier drive than the manual version and the change is only mechanical and not any other change has incurred.
