newbie here, what is the meaning of OEM design? & FOB?

OEM is original equipment manufacturer so they will produce the goods and then you stick your label on it. Assuming I have the correct acronym otherwise look at the following link for all the other possibilities.

Acronyms are great if you instantly hit on the correct one but can get you into a big mess especially if you think OEM means original equipment manufacturer and they think it mean Oracle Enterprise Manager. So whereever possible don't use acronyms or at least explain it in the first instance when corresponding with a new customer/supplier.
FOB Free on Board so supplier pays all costs to put goods on ship at port of departure and customer bays the carriage insurance and freight.
Look up incoterms at

for a fuller list 5 minutes of instant jargon busting.
Again use FOB (Free On Board) Shanghai rather than FOB Shanghai in the first statement to a customer/supplier then you can get away with FOB Shanghai after that.
Remember confusing the customer/supplier is not what trade is about not if you want a repeat order.

OEM is the short form for Original Equipment Manufacturer. Example BMW is the original manufacturer, but BMW can sub-contract or give a license to a local car manufacturer company A to manufacture the car for them and put the BMW label for them too. So BMW is the OEM and company A is the contract manufacturer for an OEM company. It can be a complete product/equipment or a certain portion of the equipment

OEM is original equiment manufacture , and the FOB is free on borad . If your customer ask whether you accept OEM, it means that they want you to produce the product but the product should be designed by your customers themselves and label their own brand.
