Recently i found several other companies had copied our products' pics and posted them on alibaba as their products.

What do you think about this?

It's my Dream

  • Negotiate after-sales services with supplier
  • Free promotions on the forums!
  • How can I persuade my supplier?

  • if people are linking to your pix rather than copying them as you change from your old unwatermarked pix to your new ones with the watermark change the URL / filename of the new picture and replace the old picture with a suitable message in a new picture saying something like 'This image has been stolen from..........' or a picture of something totally different like someone selling a new luxury car could be replaced with a rusty wreck in a scrapyard.

this has happened many times on ebay and once a seller has a bid they cant edit the listing so if they stolen your picture and you host it on your own webspace you can have a bit of fun

I am sure this post will make me a bit unpopular with those who do not wish to hear the truth and facts, but.........
I spend over an hour looking at the products being sold by people posting complaints about their photos being copied. Here is what I found:
Nearly all are selling the same items as many other sellers. Though some may have made a VERY VERY subtle change (not even worth mentioning). Are we to believe those sellers actually went through the time, cost and EFFORT involved in creating a NEW product? It is clear that most have themselves copied the work of someone else. And now profit from that. Example: change to shape of an ATV light from round to square, qualifies as a NEW design? Buyers are not that simple minded. So I think UNLESS your company truly developed a NEW product and the technology that goes with it, it is difficult to complain.

Also, one should not be angry when others copy them. It is actually a complement.[em3]
Think about it.. If I copy you, it is the same as I saying "You are much SMARTER,MORE CREATIVE,MORE HARD WORKING and MORE HONORABLE than I"

Don't be angry by those who MUST copy, just pity them, and be happy that you do not need to copy anyone.[em19]

I found many people hate it, but I think the good resources should be shared together.

Shared perhaps, but those who survive solely of the hard work and the intelligents of others, should not complain much.
