You should make it a practice never to do business with any company that cannot give less than 5 American clients.  This will allow you to track their integrity. If they are an international company they should be able to give you information relevant enough for you to make a prudent decision.  At Independent Resolution Services a Computer Manufacturing American Veteran Owned and Operated When we do business we select the bonding company in the country we live (USA) and require the seller/buyer to put up enough bonding to satisfy our product and our margin.

It takes a little more time but we never lose any revenue.  It will cost you $2,500.00 to fly and lodge in China, any substantial deals should be made in that fashion. I will be going in October for one of the two trade shows they have. Do yourself a favor and buy American if you are in Federal Procurement.  Check the FARs and see if they clear you for imported products or are you claused under Buy American.
