Hi, we also have some problems with yours.

as we have receiving many customer's mails at day. everytime we are preparing the quoation to them within a day. we dind't hearing any answers from them after mails have been replied with them.

As I known that most of the customer are not directly buyer . so you should be waiting for their news with your patience.  Checking with your customer again for the quotation status. or give them a call . when they didn't replying with you 2-3weeks. just forget them.

maybe they can finding with you on next time when they have new projects.

Hi ,i should say, this is so commen.

For all the inquiry,i suggest you to identify them. That means, not all inquiries is useful. Some of them is just fraud information and will wast you so much time.Even how excited you involve in,what you get is just discouragement.

Also when you thought that the customer is so sincere, then trace work is very very important.

Good luck to you,come on.[em2]

As a international trade salesman, you need to be more patient, someone did not get any order in half year. you should keep up a good state of mind. good luck!

Hi zjshp168,

I have asked myself the same questions you ask about enquiry response. I am getting on average, 10 enquiries per day...I answer all of them with the asked for information and I never hear back. So far in 2 months, I have had 1 positive response that may lead to a sale of Thai Silk I carry. But that is the only one so far. It makes me wonder if spending the $589.00usd for Trustpass Membership was just a waste of money. Maybe some of the experts on alibaba.com can answer this question.

I will reply to you from a Buyer's perspective (since I am a buyer). As a professional you must do your home work to check the background of the requestor (buyer) and upon collecting enough information you will have a choice to reply or not to their enquiry. Nowadays there are hundreds of simillar products and the buyer are spoilt of choice, so they will look for the best supplier (just like you looking for best client).

There are cases that sales people, not knowing the cost of the product, send to the buyers prices that are out of this world (depending on their strategie, they give high prices to new clients, a "shoot off" strategie) and a good buyer knowing the market average price would just ignore this quotation.

Another thing is that there are many buyer doing a good job for the company they work for. Sometimes they just do a market research to know the market price of the products they buy and this is done through getting quotations from suppliers that sell those products.

Another scenario is that of a trading company having an enquiry from their client but do not have any clear specification of the product so they will just send out enquiries without the responsibility of buying from the supplier and they will not process the order unless and until they receive the order from the client. Their order will highly depend on the prices that the client willing to pay

The worst scenario is when irresponsible buyers who have nothing to do (called "getters") just send enquiries to waste their time and the sellers' time as well
