[China] Still waiting for answer on inquire. Usual?
Post 1 of 37
Hey,

I sent 3 inquirs last week (6 days ago) to 3 different suppliers, but still no answer. Is this usual, do everyone answer or should i try to find someone else? Is this a problem when trying to contact suppliers from China?

Best regards

Hei Haakon,

I guess we are in the same boat. I have tried to get prices from several companies, but they do not reply at all. I have resent inquires 3 times to all of them. Only got answer from one company the first time. This was not a problem one year ago. Maybe alibaba should have a system kicking out non-responding sellers, because it takes a lot of time to search for products.

Have to warn you to give your website address info. If you have prices present at your website they will use your prices to give their prices. If you have high prices, Norwegian prices are high because of tax, they will compare and give you higher prices. They do not remember or know freight charges are high to Norway and tax for all products including shipping is 25%.

Another thing.

Norway is a small country with a small amount of population compared to other European countries. You have to explain this to the sellers so they understand you can not buy tons of goods or containers. Many of the sellers only want to sell a large quantity.

Please keep in mind there are other b2b sites, like globalsources and made-in-china, both .com.

The sellers often have products and contact information on more than one b2b site so you could try to send from another business to business site.

Good Luck/Lykke til [em3]

Thanks for many good replies. I have still heard nothing, but will take your advise to consideration and try again. Hopefully this will make the difference :)

Try again , hope you success.

99% suppliers will answer your inquire if they see them ., the problem may caused by the fail sent, maybe you should sent directly to their mail box.

no matter what ur real intention of putting ur enquiry with suppliers, u should put forward ur clear needs and specificaitons.

If u have ur design, dimensions and other details, pls donnot be besitate. Time of both sides is greatly saved, also more efficiency.

It is ok if u want to know about the price before u have a footing into this business. But u should offer any details u know to the factories.

OK, more understanding and effective communications are so important. Actually is not that complicated.

I donot believe all suppliers will turn cold shoulder to u even if u cannot throw order at them right away.

Wish u go on smoothly. [em1]

hey,Haakon

As a toys supplier in China,we received many inquires from all over the world.I will not reply them or delay replying until i am free at all for the following inquires:

1)Sending his inquiry to all golden suppliers,of course I know it is normal for buyers to compare about price and quality. But pls send to every supplier one by one, don't  cc to all at one mail. When I get thess kind of mails,i will not reply unless i am free.

2)Like those write : Hi, Sir or Madam!I need all kind of toys, pls send me price list with all of your products, thanks" For these mails,I must to doubt if it were my conpetitor???I will never send them our price list. The only way I do is asking them to visit our website,if any interesting, then I may quote for you.But so far,no one answers after viewing our website.

3)talk big inquiry.

But normally,if only your inqury is sincere and indicate what products you are looking for?And if any requirement ?Then I trust you will get responese from china suppliers soon.

Good luck!May a best and smooth business bridge between you and China suppliers.

wendy

good ! so many buyers sen dme an E-mail like that they need all kind of products and ask me send them the price,i think it is unbelievable.
