why?the customer did not agree to do business with us just because we don't have one machine in house??As a factory we could not have all the machines though we did color printing for many years.I quote our best price for the color printing service(posters),and we got all the details,we just need sample confirming. The fact is we did this kind of posters before, though we didn't have our own heat shrink packing machine. And we supplied quality posters as well. The problem is he did not agree the fact we don;t have the machine..God,what can i do??it's not possible for us to buy a machine in a short time.I did ring some factories to find out if they had a machine like that, but none since now. They just print posters, but supply heat shrink packing servie..they did not own a machine,,,and even not supply that kind of posters....yes,we can,but we didnot have the machine!!!
Maybe some one have this machine,i could give him details for this printing requirements....
with poster print experience and heat shrink packing service,,,the point is the factory must have a heat shrink packing machine of their own,,,that could accept the size of 16*20"
Thanks for attention..
Best Regards,
I think that you are missing the point here.
The customer is not choosing to not give you the order because you don't have a certain machine (even though that is the perfect right of the customer to do so), they are refusing to give you the order as you cannot produce the product that they are looking for.
Just because you can produce a product that you believe is similar or should be good enough does not mean that the customer is wrong to take his business elsewhere.
My gues is that this customer is a very professional customer as he is clearly informed about the production process and what is required of any supplier who wants to produce that product. Perhaps if you want to produce that type of product and get this type of customer in the future then you should invest in the machinery to be able to do that.
Don't wait for the orders and then invest in the machinery. Far too many factories think that customers will accept such terms but no professional customer would. You need to invest in the machinery so that you can prove to your customers that you are ready to accept the orders.
