i use a certain kind of paper rolls in my company i want to buy them direct from the maker to get a better deal or have someone from china etc. make these rolls for me at a lower cost, my distriubtor price keeps going up.  how can i find the source of his product

Perhaps your distributor price keeps going up as the cost of the product, or more likely, the cost of bringing the product to you, is going up. So the price raises may be legitimate.

You can search for suppliers here at alibaba and I am sure that you will find some.

But then you need to start evaluating suppliers and their products.

You need to do sampling and develop a technical descrip-tion of the product that you want to buy so that the manufacturer is clear about this.

Then you need to invest money in production of a relatively large quantity.

You will need to cover the shipping costs, taxes, and duties of bringing that product into your country.

Finally you will need to finance the costs of storing what will probably be a relatively large quantity of the product for use over time.

If you can do all of that then perhaps buying direct is a viable alternative for you. If not then you best stick with the current distribution method.

I agree with the previous answer, if you are willing to invest your time and money to go direct you will also have to invest in a lot of the paper you use for your company. 


Storage and Warehousing can get expensive as well.  You need to do an ROI with respect to the difference in the cost of doing business as you are currently versus the cost of doing business if you were to buy direct; don't forget to add in the shipping, customs, storage/warehousing associated with the products and having a much larger inventory as a result of buying direct.  Once it is determined that you can and will save money, you will next search out a supplier on Alibaba.
