Quoting from [Naimat Ali]:Well, I think it's because there are not many Chinese people doing business with Pakistani people. And if there are increasingly more people join Sino-Pakistan business, the situation would change in the long run.

Also, it depends on how you define "trust". Business is business. It can't be like two people making friends. Business people protect their business, and so they behave very incredulous. It should be somewhat understandable if the dis-trust comes from here.

I will tell you why this is so, because actually you are right. The buyers having done business once with Pakistan will have little confidance that a second order will be not as bad as the first.
The first order is almost:
- very very very much too late
- shipment is almost transshipment, although it was agreed on direct vessels
- communication is very very very hard, whereby the Pakistan never ever admits a mistake, they are so stubbern and they are so perfect , nonetheless theyperform very bad work, see above
The above reasons are more then enough to be very alert wenn it comes to dealing with Pakistanies, because they simple DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS
rgds.
i am a pakistani myself, i have been to pakistan on two occasions. each time the only way i could get something done was by paying a bribe.
it may be ok for the person receiving the bribe, but not ok for the person who just wants the job done without any hassle.
i would love to do business in pakistan, but cant find any upstanding businessmen!

Quoting from [Naimat Ali]:There are some genuine pakistani suppliers you can trust, however, majority of them are cheats and after quick money. They do not have any business ethics due to the high rate of illiteracy and lack of english knowledge.

Anyway,I agree with some pionts you reminded above,we should be carefull when contacting with new supplierfor new order.becauseit isnot infrequent thingto encounter the bad performance made bythe suppliers whomaybe comefrom anywhere, any country. It is a musttothink about or analizewhether should trust the supplier or how muchwe should trust on them,so as to timelyhold the actual proess of the order proceeded. Yes,the lesson and experience isalert, also a teacher.
Another thing I want to mention here is that,I ever comunicated withPK suppliers andalsosome friends from PK.But I can find nothing on them aboutyoulaid into above. They are sometimsindeed stubborn, andperfect, just in apearance of strongly pursue for their insisted lofty goal\career toachieve perfect bussiness with the customer, from which some already turned into friend, not merewin-win bussinss party.
Think of those Japanse that have been ever inmasacring our compatriot, but those have died and become the history, and it can't stopsomeonemake successfully cooperation withJapanese and in certainextent drive chinese economy in nowadays. The reputation or misunderstanding is historyor left over from the pass things. What we can do is not forever complain somthing left over by somebody's bad work and trust this upon all suppliers(I think it can distribute the misunderstanding to others who never touch with PK supplier),justenhance thealertness and GIVE CONCRETE ANALISIS FOR EACH,CONCRETE CONDITION.
