My items that I want to order are very small. I asked for a qoute on a sample, the item costs USD 10.00 and the shipping was USD 50.00 the DHL door to door courier. Thats too much in my opinion

Now i am new and i want to get into a product market, but I need help navigating the shipping so it does not eat into my profits.

The items that I will be requiring will not be heavy and will be less than 1kg each.

What is a resonable price I can expect from a courier service from China to the US (new york)

Air freight is not cheap, it has to be urgent  not heavy and high value stuff.

To not keep iventory can justify buying as you sell, if the goods are very valued and far from heavy.

A sample is the first step, its no margin for any profit by selleng it.

When I sometimes take more than 60 kg, as sample the shipping cost is far more than the value of the goods.

But to have a physical  thing to evulate, and if good for your market its not waste money, its easyer to take preorders if you have something to show, before you go for a container.

if the goods are small and not heavy.you can asking your supplier to checking with EMS.as EMS are charge the price at the weight .not the carton size. maybe you can get the cheaper price on the air-freight. of course, the delivery time are a little longer 2-3days than DHL.

    i am on your side.

    Hello!

No problem out there... If you want to see the samples,.. Then you must pay for the Sample freight charges... As its neccassary for you to see the Sample before ordering for large volumes.

And 30$ does'nt matter in long run... And also this is the one time cost.

Also possibiltiy is there, that, might you not like the items when you see the sample... You will saving yourself from big loss to pay only 50$ extra... And sometimes... good suppliers return your money back by adjusting the sample freight in your order amount...

So if your supplier is good... You don't need to worry about anything.

Hope the answer is for your question.

    Good Luck[em13]
