When we ship goods by airfreight, to agree with UCP 600, the bank requires a statement on the air waybill which says: ...... the goods ... are accepted ... for carriage.
This statement is only on a MAWB - as far as I know. Internally the transport agent ships the goods with a House Air Waybill.
The issuing bank of the LC receives a copy of the MAWB and our customer receives the HAWB with which he can receive the goods when they arrive.
Now the issuing bank requires a receipt signature on the MAWB but our customer gets this signature only on the HAWB and cannot provide the MAWB.
How is this problem solved?
Is this mentioned statement on the Air Waybill required by UCP600?
