1. CLICHÉ - an expression (such as a metaphor) that has been used so often it loses its freshness and meaning (pronounced as KLI shay)

2. FINESSE (fi- ness) - a skillful, subtle handling of a situation 

3. PIQUE (pik) - a feeling of wounded pride

4. CUISINE (kwi-zeen) - a style of preparing food

5. RENDEZVOUS (rande-vu) - a meeting at a pre-arranged time and place
