Quoting from [neoblast]: Since my lack of funds and the fact that I'm only 19, I can't open a business and start exporting.
Hmm, what age do you have to be to do business in China (and to be major of age, I guess)?

Why Exporting to China, Why not producing in China

with the last Economic boom in China "Shanghai, Beijing" and just other big chinese cities, the entire globe focus on exporting to China, now I think that it indeed is a GREAT idea, China worldwide largest POPULATION may make RICH anyone who succeeds on EXPORTING to CHINA,

Now the fact of the PRICES of exportacion, and the selective but big Chinese DEMAND make this game not as easier as it sounds,

well, I lived in SHANGHAI for pretty LONG Time I even can speak Shanghainess DIALECT, and i TRAVELED basically alaround CHINA, and I thnk that the idea of importation to Shanghai is juz GREAT,

but for the rest of China it will still take its own time to adapt to that way of living, so this adaptation will drive them to work for foreign companies, with better salary and better opportunities, this way foreign companies will "export" to China, think you UNDERSTAND if it is still not clear u can ask me, that is just what I am doing, it is cool, and makes good profits [em19]

I would caution anyone to count the cost before manufacturing in China.  I have a brother that has lived in Chengdu and run a company with his Chinese partners for the last 3 years and has been very successful.  But I also have a brother in law that moved his manufacturing company to China (and he is not on site to run the company) he has had nothing but difficulty.

IMHO the most important thing you can do If you are going to manufacture in China is learn the language so you can communicate with your business associates.

Just my two cents.

With regards to the upgrading of Chinese consumption structure due to increased     disposable income, the business opportunity became obvious and noticeable. Economic is world-wide closely related and trade protective measures only work temporarily not in the long-term. In my opinion, there're 17% for value-added tax for overall Chinese enterprises, and differnt zones with tax deduction to various degree, so if you're not familiar with Chiinese laws and situation, you can choose "joint venture " for manufactureing in China. Besides. for exporting to China, you need to be familiar with the Chinese market or entrusted an agent for you. Investment and attention for China is appreciated.[em16]
