There are a huge textile market and well known worldwidely. You nearly can find all the textile products from all over the China, many textile suppliers in China have their booth and many buyers worldwide established brance or office here.
I copy an article from www.tdctrade.com for your reference.

China Textile City, near Shaoxing city, Zhejiang, is an enormous. picturesque undertaking in the Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo economic belt of the Yangtze River Delta. It is 12 km from Shaoxing to the east, 146 km from Ningbo to the south, 52 km from Hangzhou to the east, and 260 km from Shanghai to the north, with the Hangzhou-Ningbo Railway, National Highway 104 and Xiaoshan-Shaoxing Canal running horizontally through the town.
The entrance to the Xiaoshan-Hangzhou-Ningbo Highway is only 8 km to the north, and the Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport is 20 km away.
In a town with a history spanning 1,000 years, Keqiao, where the City is situated, is dubbed "The Venice of the Orient" for its beautiful scenery. With its favourable climatic, geographical and fine living conditions, it has developed into the most prosperous town in Zhejiang. The provincial government approved the establishment of the Keqiao Economic Development Zone - with China Textile City, seen as the jewel in the crown.
Shaoxing Textile Market, the precursor of China Textile City, started off as a street mart selling fabrics back in the mid 1980s, and eventually developed into China's first indoor textile market, which opened for business in October 1988.
It changed to its present name in June 1992 with the approval of the government. The market is managed by publically-listed Zhejiang China Textile City Co.
After nearly 15 years of operation, China Textile City has evolved from a marketplace of shacks into Asia's largest distribution centre for synthetic fabrics, covering an area of 492,000 sqm and with a floor area of 605,000 sqm.
There are 19 textile products markets, one light textile raw materials market, and five textile machinery and light industrial goods markets in its eastern, central, western and northern trading blocks.
Exhibition hall for fabrics.
The textile city comprises a cluster of centres. The most modern northern area is the largest indoor commodity market in China. It has 19 escalators and six cargo lifts for the movement of customers and goods. The area has 15,000 shops, which are leased by 8,500 operators, offering over 9,000 varieties of merchandise and employing more than 40,000 people.
Textile City is visited by 70,000 people and sells an average of 2 million metres of fabrics a day. Daily turnover approaches Rmb60 million (HK$56.6 million). Last year's turnover amounted to Rmb22.6 billion (HK$21.3 billion).
In addition to fine fabrics manufactured in various parts of China, the market also brings together products from Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, as well as other countries and regions. It serves the whole of China and its neighbouring countries, and handles a third of the synthetic fabrics sold in China.
The Texile City throughputs 80% of the products of light textile enterprises in Shaoxing which are directly or indirectly sold elsewhere. The market is closely linked with various parts of the country through its 220 cargo forwarding routes.
China Textile City deals in wholesale and retail businesses. The majority of operations are direct sales outlets of manufacturers, with a small number of sales agents. Business takes the form of cash transactions and orders.
Management also runs an online textile market, Chinatextilecity.com, which publishes quotes for fabrics sold in the market on a weekly basis. Clients can place orders online without actually coming to the market.
There are banks, taxation and industrial and commercial administrative departments to provide "one-stop services" to facilitate business licence applications, tax registration and other formalities. The market can also arrange international container transportation, domestic multi-modal forwarding, warehousing and other services for clients.
For amenities, there is the China Textile City Hospital, China Textile City Hotel as well as cinemas, bowling centres, parks and other facilities.
China Textile City is working on the development of a cluster of markets for light textile raw materials, garments, textile machinery and other related products.
All shop spaces are leased out, but the management welcomes well-known domestic and foreign manufacturers and says lease arrangements can still be made if merchandise is suitable and applicants have a good reputation.
