Textiles industry: It relates to manufctureing of various kind of fabrics and processing in it:
woven and knitted are two different kind of fabrics manufctured in different fabrications: woven is weave in a plain loo and Hosiery is made in a circular or flat knitting:
Socks is another kind of knit from a special kind of machine: It comes under apparels;
Normally cotton is the ebst for the human skin.
But due to the environmental conditions,maintainance, price and durability articficial fibres are dominating in the market;

Besides cotton, wool is another natural fiber used in hosiery and socks. It is used either pure or mixed with cotton or with some sentethic fibres. In general, wool is the main fiber used in rural areas for hand-knitted clothing and hosiery and socks which are for family needs.
However due to being authentique with various original and local designs, these hand-knitted clothing, hosiery and socks are of commercial values for touristic sales,although they are not traded in large volumes internationally.

In colder and snowy rural areas, wool comes first due to it is easy availability and hand-knitting facilities as material for socks and hosiery.However manufactured cotton socks and hosiery products are welcomed in warm and hot regions. Artificial fibers are dominating one in ladies' needs.
