Hello, i was wondering if anyone can help me with a dilemma. I have recently bought some items from a company based in China, they were given a gold alibaba badge next to their company name which shows that they are legit.

Well i was fooled, i paid for the products upfront knowinf full well i would recieve them but i didn't, i recieved some trainers when i paid for play station 3's which were worth quite a lot of money.

Ever since they sent me the wrong goods i haven't heard anything from them since, their website doesn't even load up. I had a look on google and other people opened up a forum about how they are scammers and fraudsters but it's too late.

I paid for the goods via bank transfer but i don't know what to do and who to report it to because i honeslty don't think i can get my money back

Please contact me at clatisevs@hotmail.com for you help and adivce

It is rather unfortunate that you were duped out of  honesty but very ignorant.

Please be on the look out, these scammers are expert and can always get away will day light murders.

I also almost got trapped as well, they issued me an SGS certificate which almost let me fall for them, but fortunate  I had to ask a third party  to verify the certificate of quality, quantity and origin, only then it was proven to be  a spike.

They are no way to be heard , all phones switched off permanently.

Never trust any one over internet business. it is very dangerous.Take your time and avoid being put under tremendous pressure from these dear brothers /siisters.

I am sitting with lotsof fake documents

When buying from a foreign supplier a few things can be done to reduce risk to a minimum. I guess the best ones are these three:

1.- Hire a professional quality agency that goes there and checks all the procedures, infrastructure, and materials quality. They can go before you close the deal, during production, or just before goods are shipped. They should be able to issue a quality certificate that will be very useful for number 3.

2.- Pay a visit to wherever they are and see it all for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask all required information, see the facilities, gather samples from other products they're currently manufacturing, etc etc. If you're shipping some $ XX,XXX usd containers, a 2,000 usd trip shouldn't be a bad idea, don't u think?.

3.- Don't pay with a plain funds transfer. Pay with a Letter of Credit (L/C), and state on it the need to have the quality agency to certificate the goods before shipment.  It's better if you pay/choose the quality agency to avoid any complicities. They're less expensive than you might think.

Companies that don't accept this terms, might be hiding something from you...

Of course all this is more difficult than buying to your supplier next door, but hey!   foreign trade is just as interesting as it is challenging.
